    Default Vorpal Strikes And IC

Right. My monk is level 23 capped now and i'm about to take Vorpal Strikes and as we all know it changes your Unarmed damage from Bludgeoning to Slashing.
What I want to know is if it does change that, do i have to swap my IC: Bludgeoning for IC: Slashing?

No, it just adds slashing to the kind of attack you are doing so you have blunt slash magic lawful adamantine etc. Can also have pierce if you use ivy wraps (also think you can get some ml4 spiked from three barrel cove).

Don't forget it's a active stance, so needs to be turned on the same way you do with power attack everytime you log on.

IC: bludgeon doesn't actually improve the crit range of all weapons that do bludgeon damage. It is actually a group of IC feats for weapons that typically do bludgeon damage, like unarmed combat, mauls, clubs, etc. The other IC feats work the same way. That is why you don't need to change your IC feat, and also why IC: slashing will not work for handwraps, even with vorpal fists.

    Question

Does the feat's vorpal effect work? Does it add 100 damage against targets above 1000 hp?

I remember reading that it didn't really work, but that was a long time ago...
