a pair of weapon x vs weapon x paired with epic Cutthroat's Smallblade?

A long time ago I read a post where someone crunched the numbers and showed that a LIT II paired with an epic Cutthroat's Smallblade was slightly better then 2 Lit IIs.

I can't find that post any more but I wonder if the Epic Cutthroat's Smallblade is the best off hand weapon for a pierce spec rogue.

Depends what you want to do.

The off-hand smallblade calc was done assuming a Lit II rapier (holy, shock burst, shock blast iirc). The small blade has "close enough" dps (assuming slice/bleed) that the doublestrike edges out an off-hand Lit II rapier.

If you're using eEnvenoms in the calc, I'd assume you're working the imp para + enervate procs rather than pure DPS, in which case I'd say go dual eEnvenoms ... or off-hand a Sacrificial Dagger for the extra enervates.

Without doing the calcs, my gut saids dual Celestias out dps the Lit II + Smallblade combo, but you'll have to watch the overagro from the AoE procs in group situations.
