Can someone please tell me about this dracolich boss?
Due to the fact I have only been able to copy to lam a 2 years old toon that I deleted, I haven't been able to run the new stuff.
Paladins have become solid, but I don't see how HotD will make them top DPS... nor do I see why most paladins would go HotD simply for one raid boss. Explain please.
Edit: @eth - and yeah, but for the third time.. my goal wasn't making perfect calculations taking every little detail into account.. just giving the OP a basic view of the elements increasing crit number (which is what he requested). It's a simplified explanation, not a very accurate "guide", I have forgotten things, I have not explained others and I don't think it matters.

I have written off the 10K melee crit as something that was not intended to be done - If you notice Master Blitz is a Tier 6 LD ability not twistable and Adrenaline is a FotW innate ability again not twistable. We are not suppose to talk about why some have been able to combine these two not twistable items and Turbine has made a first step in working to avoid this from happening.
Now don't get me wrong its fun to see high crit numbers on a melee and even without the above one can get some nice numbers even if they don't use the 3x damage power up in the Mansion Challenges.

As for the Power of the HotD in coming releases.
1) They can utilize the many Stacking Rage benefits to equal and in some cases for Short periods exceed the Strength/Constitution benefit a DoS gets from stance
2) They can optimize gear by not needing to slot energy drain protection - While DW does this for anyone, when working in a place where debuff and anti-magic methods are used, anything that can't be used up/dispelled will go a long way.
3) Healing amplification - HotD has a higher healing amplification potential
Also we do not know what the Enhancement pass will bring to the table as it may just change/fix existing issues with any/all PrE.
Yeah, I don't get this at all. KoTC has damage against what in MOTU? Even Lolth is an abberation, not an evil outsider, right? And what outsiders there are, are neutral. I dropped KoTC when Mindsunder came out and haven't looked back. Being able to tear the snot out of Horoth and Arraetrikos is not the end game. When fighting drow and abberations and a bunch of neutral druidy cr*p, you need something that can actually hurt them.

Simple a paladin sees less of reduction in damage then a fighter or barbarian in damage on undead and hunter of dead gets additional undead damage. Tree Form in Primal Avatar is quite possibly not working properly, but currently supplies massive damage while moving. Paladins furthermore get the charges faster for primal avatar then fighter or barbarians because casting spells also give charges. Translation: HOTD Primal Avatar fighting the Dracolich is going to be fun. Now rogues possibly with enough fortification reduction gear could be interesting who knows, but I would not be suprised if the Dracolich has over 100% fortification, but what have you.
Norg Fighter12/Paladin6/Monk2, Jacquiej Cleric18/Monk1/Wiz1, Rabiez Bard16/Ranger3/Cleric1, Hangover Bard L20, Boomsticks Fighter12/Monk 6/Druid 2, Grumblegut Ranger8/Paladin6/Monk6, Rabidly Rogue L20, Furiously Rogue10/Monk6/Paladin4, Snowcones Cleric 12/Ranger 6/Monk 2, Norge Barbarian 12/FVS4/Rogue4. Guild:Prophets of The New Republic Khyber.
I don't see HOTD doing any top dps on the EE Dracolich since they will spend 90% of there fighting time running away, dead, trying to self heal or knocked down. Meleeing on EE in the current form of the raid on lam is not a option for the Dracolich. Now if you rolled a helf/elf AA hotd bow user you could damage to said Dracolich.
Too keep it on topic has anyone used quad damage from challenges mixed with the massive multi of a barb using x4 picks or something of the sort?
