Sure but they followed on of the default paths. Like this one.

(I may or may not have used this on my very first toon. Said toon may have made it to level 13 before I rolled a new one. If you grouped with said toon I am very very sorry...)

Paladins can do things! Mine can:

1. Open doors.
2. Disable traps.
3. UMD scrolls (cast Elemental Weapon to buff the party).
4. ...I thought I had more...

They certainly are not built to be top DPS in the game, but with epic destinies being what they are now: if you can't build a Paladin with high DPS potential, then you should "let the air out of the ball and go home" you simply have no idea of what you are saying...

I capped a pure paladin on my completionist project and wielded an epic sos at end game for awhile just to experience it.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty sure I was doing much more damage on my ranger life...

Personally when Im on my Cleric in Epics (EH and EE) I absolutely love having a high PRR, high AC, high HP, high amped timmying Pally along

I have no idea what DPS they do but when theyre locking down aggro of mobs that break CC and my aura plus renewal is keeping them standing Im a happy healer.

Every character have dps. Paladins are just particularly bad at it sadly.
But at least they are cool, and can be very good tanks.

Im still waiting for that enhancement pass to see them shine!

let me rephrase . . . the Paladin CLASS doesn't necessarily suck as a CLASS . . . their DPS PRE sucks as a PRE. The power and the suck of the DDO classes are int he enhancements and the paladin (and their PREs) enhancements need a ton of work.

That make more sense?

Paladins may not be barbarian or fighter level dps, but they'll be dancing on the corpses of the "real dps" classes with their self sufficiency and survivability.
