    Question Drunk build question

Im kinda new to both Druid and Monk and was wondering if the monk stances can be used while using a staff weapon? Also how do you know when the monk special attack is ready? And lastly, if I decided to go scimitar and sheild, would I lose the monks evasion? I know i will lose monks special abilities but am not sure about evasion.

1- monk special attacks can be used with all ki weapons, including quarterstaves.
2- most special attacks are just a button you put on a hotbar, and click when you want to use it, much like cleave. The monk finishers on the other hand, require a special combo of monk attacks to set up, and then you can click on the monk finisher button on your hotbar. The finisher button will change depending on what finisher you have set up for.
3- weapon and shield use has no bearing on evasion to the best of my knowledge. The only thing evasion checks for is what type of armor you are wearing. If you are wearing a robe/outfit/light armor, evasion will work, if you are wearing medium/heavy armor, it won't.

    Yes.

The monk atks have cooldowns, same as any special atk (Trip, Sunder, etc.). Or do you mean the finishing moves? If you have the finisher button mapped to a toolbar, the icon will change to indicate which finisher is ready.
And lastly, if I decided to go scimitar and sheild, would I lose the monks evasion?
No. The only things which make you lose Evasion are wearing med or hvy armor, being heavily encumbered, or being helpless. But remember as a druid you still have to wear non-metal armor; so if you played a drunk wearing light chain, you'd still have Evasion but lose all your monk and druid abilities - not a good tradeoff.

I'm hardly an expert on monk, but i believe the basic attack types(Air, Earth, Fire, Water) you can add to the hotbar. You use those in specific orders depending on the finishing move you want to use. So you either know the finishing combos off the top of your head or drag those onto the hotbar as well, which you can mouse over and see which order you need to use the basic attacks in(as well as what each finisher does) to set up each specific finisher. It takes a lot of hotbar space and concentration to do that. Not too sure how much of that relates to playing a druid as a monk though.
