    Default Spells

So.. I plan on TRing my wizard into an evoker...

I tried to google it but t no avail..do we have a list of what spells AoV enhancements effect and the smiting line? I know its obvious they both effect light spells for a nice spell power combine bonus, but I'm trying to figure out what else they boost and what other spells besides light spells overlap for the spell power increase. Also.. I know fire potecy items obviously effect firestorm, and the fire portion of flame strike, but what effects blade barrier and the alignment spells, heck any of the none light spells?

AoV works on non-element spells (Blade Barrier, Cometfall), fire spells (Symbol of Flame, Flamestrike, Firestorm).

Smiting works on light spells and alignment spells.

I know its obvious they both effect light spells for a nice spell power combine bonus,
Regardless of how obvious it may seem, the fact is that they do not do that.

but I'm trying to figure out what else they boost and what other spells besides light spells overlap for the spell power increase.
AoV does not increase light spellpower. This is a common misconception.

AoV includes an aura that will occasionally curse things that hit you. This curse will apply a stacking (5% per stack, so up to 25%) vulnerability to Light and Alignment damage. That's not just spells. Weapons that have light danage (See: Celestia, or a Coruscating prefix) or have alignment damage (Holy Burst) will also be boosted by the curse applied by AoV. The curse also reduces fortification, which helps melee in general against any target that has some.

If you're not getting hit, then you're not cursing anything. But you can "gift" your aura to someone else, and then whatever hits THEM will have a chance of getting the vulnerability curse.

Also.. I know fire potecy items obviously effect firestorm, and the fire portion of flame strike,
Fire Potency/Lore items work on all of Flame Strike, not just the fire portion.

but what effects blade barrier and the alignment spells, heck any of the none light spells?
Alignment spells are boosted by Radiance. Blade Barrier is boosted by Impulse.

Spell Crit for Blade Barrier is NOT boosted by Kinetic Lore, however. Only Arcane Lore and Laceration Lore (only available on alchemical items) will let Blade Barrier crit.

Well thanks for giving me the info.. now I know which direction I want to take her regarding spells and feats.

I know this is off topic, but it looks like.. on paper.. the artificer can have a much much much more powerful blade barrier. Am I reading the wiki right? makes me sad if so. Arties just have it too good :P

.....what damage type of glyph of warding anyhow? Is it covered under any of that? I'll probably never use it as I'm horrible as emplacing the spells...if they let me emplacement as many as I wanted I'd reconsider it.

Yes, Artificers can have devastatingly powerful barriers.

But they have a much smaller SP pool to deploy them with, and a Max+Emp Barrier is rather spendy.
