    Default fascinate

Has anyone compiled a list of what monsters are immune to fascinate? Sometimes trial and error gives results that are surprising, at least based on logic. Undead are immune, but for some reason skellies can be driven insane by an insanity proc weapon? That makes no sense. And why are storm giants immune to fascinate, or maybe my skill is too low?

Some sort of list would be helpful!

Constructs and Undead can be fascinated if you take the corresponding enhancements (Music of the Dead, Music of Makers).
Vermin can be fascinated if you use the Fatesinger's Music of the Spider Queen.

Storm Giants, for example, seem to be immune. Or at least very resistant. Kinda looking for specifics.

And the mindless creature thing in this game doesn't appear to be that cut and dried. For example, earth elementals can be fascinated. Aren't they mindless?

    Yep. know all about that.

I'm pretty sure I've fascinated spiders without the Fatesinger Music. I know I've fascinated rats. Those would be vermin, correct?

See, this is kinda what I was looking for. Real life examples that may or may not be covered in the vague wiki page that just repeats what's in the manual, but exclusions and aberrations that people have run into.

"Vermin" has weird meaning here. Only mindless insects are vermin. Fiendish spiders are actually "magical beasts". Rats are "animals." This all made sense to someone at sometime.

Elementals aren't actually mindless in this game. Constructs and undead aren't always mindless but enjoy blanket immunities because they are super special. Frost giants in... Reaver's refuge? Have some plot based mental protections.

Do members of congress count as vermin, or undead?

You are mistaken, they are constructs.

Everytime I tried to fascinate a Storm Giant, I see the Deathward symbol above his head. It may be that.

Mindless creatures are immune. This includes constructs (but not living constructs like Warforged), undead, oozes, plants, and vermin. Not all scorpions/spiders/rats are vermin, some are magical beasts or animals. You can check with Z (examine).

Some enemies have an arbitrary immunity/resistance to fascinate (and other charm effects). This include the giants in Reaver's Refuge and some devils.

All bosses, including orange named mini-bosses, are immune as well.

TY. Finally a helpful answer that doesn't simply link to wiki.

I would be interested if anyone has ever made a comprehensive list.
