Shillelagh

As the title says I have a little question regarding this 1st level Druid spell.

When I cast Shillelagh on an Epic Quarterstaff (like this 1): http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Stout_Oak_Walking_Stick

Does the 1(W) act as a 2d6 or as the description says 1d6?

The [W] is the base die of the weapon (even though it's 2d6, it's considered 1) so throw shillelagh on it and it's now 3[2d6] much like deadly weapons works.
