"The best" can be very subjective.....

This is the most objective (imo) list one can come up with by simply screening the achievement section of the forums:

1. Ranger: Shatan (solo all raids)
2. FVS: Vevay (one of the first (if not the first) to solo all epics)
3. Monk: Footsie (solo shroud)
4. Rogue: Krimsonrane (i think (i can be wrong) the only rogue that soloed epic LOD before U14 on Orien)
5. ........you can probably find more people there, I was lazy to go through all pages......



Here is the list of people I like playing with and believe are great at what they do:

1. Sorcerer: Alcena
2. Healer: Dahaun/Shyren
3. Some monk based mambo-jumbo: Vvork
4. Any class as long as he is not responsible for your health bar: Llegolas
5. Tank: Ssnake
6. Person to pike xp from: Sidekicks
7. Soul Stone: Chirpy
8. Gimp: Trap
9. Elf: Veriden (I hope he ll change his mind....)
10. ...

Figured Id chime in here - thanks to folks who mentioned my chars.

To those saying its a popularity contest - to a certain extent it will be. Im there for placing a (g) after names that are guildies to make things a little clearer.

barb: dhoonyl(g), mugstacheo(g) - hell its hard to tell em apart, nothign special here just traditional barbs well built and played. 1k+ hp, 80+ str monsters.
fighter: its hard to call this... Id have to say orv on his fighter.
paladin: righteous roy(g) - without a shadow of a doubt this is the guy I want to be tanking if im healing a dificult raid.
monk: nully, drama(g), quentyn, cromagz - all solid monks.

specialists:
bard: nymphania the porta shrine, and katz's horde of bards.
rogue: greenadine. (g)
ranger: shat (even if the class icon doesnt say ranger), faydra (for teaching me about ranged agro management).
arti: ironical & cuyar.

spellcasters:
cleric: caducea the tree monster of doom, crowhop - before his tr,
FVS: I dont know too many, none particularly stand out.
wizard: Xwing, holfrar.
sorc: zelik - this chap doesnt play too much any more due to real life but he defines wahat a sorc should be in my opinion.
druid: tuff call, I dont know many outstanding druids - probly because its still a new class.

I can definitely agree with some of the names kicked around, and I suppose it is nice to think that people view their friends as the best on the server, but man there is just no way for most if not all of the lists to be hilariously biased, and therefore pretty much a popularity/personality contest :P

Then you learn exactly how good they are with the class they play and why they are awesome.
Then you post a list online.
