    Question OK here it goes...

I use Steam to play DDO and was wondering if I would have to redownload DDO again if I wanted to use the DDO site to play. I really don't care for Steam to access the game and have issues with it, so I want to know if I use the DDO site, could the files I have from Steam be used without having to redownload everything again? My computer is not the fastest and it takes forever to download.

I'm not quite certain of what the problem may be, but once DDO is installed all updates are handled through the Turbine Launcher as Steam is only a delivery mechanism. You can use "TurbineLauncher.exe" directly to load the game without going through Steam.

If you are asking about re-installing from the DDO site, then... I'd guess it would be the same as a new installation?
The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it. - Edward R. Murrow (1964)
