I can guaranty that if EGH had better loot / rewards there would be twice the amount of people on ,
And whats the status with crystal cove ? lol

I like some of the loot and I'm not on Lam.
You dislike the loot and you are (or at least recently were) on Lam.
Quality of loot has no bearing on the number of players on Lam.
Your thesis has just been destroyed. Thanks for playing today's episode of "Ways to Interpret Anecdotal Evidence to Suit Your Own Agenda".

The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

correlation does not prove causality.... or in simple terms - the players have found little if any bugs - and have been overall very pleased with U17 on Lamannia -
so until more changes are presented there is little to do - so players are off playing their live toons.
The random loot gens are not up to eGH - YET - and they aren't the features the Dev's wanted tested.
Do some folks live on lamaland or something?
I always get the impression that some players just stay there and play like its their real server or something?
I mean ****, Your kinda slow on the draw bud, It was pretty packed with folks the first week epic gh hit Lama. We all saw the loot. tried the quests and moved on back to live..
Like the above poster said, what happens on lamaland stays there. There is no events happening right now. No real dev interaction or anything. It all happened already. There is not really much point anymore aside from trying some quests and maybe a raid. 95% of the items have been identified. I personally like a few items and am planning them in future builds.
This has nothing to do with the loot. It has been two weeks since it hit lama. It is old news now. Were all back on live waiting. It was actually a pretty good preview this time around with not so many bad bugs. So for that a lot of us are happy.
The new cove is a diff story. The loot sucks from that mainly because it did not get upgraded. so on that aspect you may be right . But overall i think you are wrong!
Born to play, Forced to work !
Actually, most players don't bother with Lam anymore because any bugs found there are ignored anyway, so why bother?
I pretty much only pay enough attention to see whats coming, and to determine whether it's worth spending my favor-earned points on the new pack or not. In this case, I won't even have to worry about that.
I haven't spent money since U14, and it ain't looking good right now for me spending anything in the future.

You don't get to keep your lama land loot, why would it interest people? But I hear the raid is mucho mucho fun fun, so people are running it constantly, right?
Was well aware of the actual status .The post was mainly to be snarky but thanks for the insight , And theres nothing to do on live server either , Main toon maxxed gear/destiny .
Was on lamm for a minute today to take a run at EE cry for help or other one that drops the quiver , Soloing is boring and better chances at seeing the stats if theres more chances of acquiring loot !!
Anyway back to feeding my real-life-peen !

If Lammania had special Lammania NPCs/vendors that would give out gear and xp instead of waiting for an employee to come by and dole things like like someone scattering bread crumbs on a coy pond I would probably use Lammania to try out experimental builds and gear combinations.
As it is I go in for the novelty of checking-out new content rather than try to farm anything as any time spent there as a player evaporates. At least on the live servers my progress is saved until I quit playing entirely.
Maybe if it were persistent and could be used to hook F2P on points and adventure packs then there's be a higher population. Could always be wiped if it looked like too many F2P accounts were "freeloading". Might boost sales, though. (And I imagine this has been discussed internally multiple times.)
A ghost town? Are you sure you didn't accidentally log on to Wayfinder?
I don't bother with Llama anymore. It has nothing to do with loot, and everything to do with not wanting to burn out on content prior to it's Live release and Turbine's long history of doing nothing to fix problems players find there prior to it's Live release.
What does loot matter there anyways, when the characters are transient and when the Devs hand the loot out for free?
To get more participation on llama
Give TP for participating, but somehow tie it to completion of content and surveys.
100 TP for completing the first new quest. TP given upon completing a form at a feedback site. Need a good amount of sweetner to pull people in and go thro the effort of accessing llama.
30 TP for completing other new quests for the first time (after completing the very first quest for 50 TP).
10 TP for quest repeations, up to a max of 5 times.
Whatever the numbers most make sense to add up to, I'd wonder if 250-500 TP would be time well spent for giving new content a go in a reasonable amount of time (4-10 hours?). Enough gametime for a lot of feedback.
Real $ we equate with TP is really only programming changes to Turbine ($ for development cost of course).
If and how it could be done from a progamming standpoint? Might just be impossible.
Would be nice I think for many folks. I'm grateful and lucky to have no issue with VIP and additional TP expenditure, but I know many a great folk who do.
