Allow all pet/hireling commands to be hotkeyed

It'd be immensely useful if you could map hotkeys to all slots of the hireling/pet bar...it would allow you to issue Attack orders, or use specific skills/spells, without having to manually click the icon. In the quick of battle, when you're already trying to manage all your own skills and spells and attacks, having to take the time to mouse over and click an icon makes it almost worthless to have those skills available.

Already exists. Look under Key Mapping. You will find Hireling Bars and slots near the bottom. You may apply any key combo you want. Hence, hotkey.

Now if you want to drag their particular commands to your own hotbar, that is a different request.

Then bug report it, as well as include your key combos you are trying to use, for which bar and slot.

It works fine for me. I control my hirelings exclusively through hotkeys.

OK, good to know...I couldnt get it to work but I'll give it another try tonight, thanks

What combos are you trying to use also? There may be a double up issue.

Also, I have noticed, in the past, that Turbine does not recreate the hotkey file correctly. You may have to delete it and start over from scratch. I just remembered about the time years back I got bit by that.

A while back I lost control of my camera when I was trying to redo some stuff. Didn't like it, so I put back in the old commands. They did NOT work even though the Turbine UI said it should.

So I pulled out an old copy of my keyfile (I keep these backed up) and did a comparison. Sure enough, Turbine screwed up the writing of the file, so I hand fixed it. Worked fine after that.
If I did not have that as a bases, I would have had to delete my file and start over redoing everything. (royal pain that is.)

Well I got it to work, just mapping "attack" to F. I think the problem was just a display issue...it wouldnt show the hotkey on the hireling's hotbar itself until I'd actually given him an attack order using the hotkey, so I thought it wasnt properly mapping.
