Ransack Timer!

I think a timer that said how long I was on Ransack for certain chest would be neat.

If this is already in the game...lemme know!

I made a suggestion to be able to use my "F" keys to target my Arty Dog...turns out there is a way to do that lol. I didn't find out till I suggested it on the forums...

SO here it goes.

I am ransacked for "The Snitch", "Under the Big Top" and "The Last Stand". I wish there was a way to check if I was still ransacked...

Would love a /ransack command that told you in which quests or areas you have a chest that is ransacked.

I would love this as well - when I'm farming a specific item, I have to note somewhere on what day a character first opens such-and-such chests if I'm intending to ransack weekly until I get it. I would love a /ransack command.

I'd almost buy that if it were cheap enough ("almost" is dependent upon whether U17 implodes on launch).

However, a "/ransack time" might be complicated to implement considering how many chests there are in game, especially with many quests/areas having multiple chests in them. How would you differentiate one chest from another? I'm all for the idea, just acknowledging the complications.

In the meantime, there are apps you can use outside the game to keep track of timers. I know the DDO Crafting Guide has such a utility. I use that when I need to keep track of a ransack timer.

You are not thinking about this properly.

Instead of something like 50tp to reset A chest timer the item is going to be 250tp to reset ALL chest timers.

Then the next logical step is to monetize electron transmissions from the server.

Ransack timers were put in to discourage people from playing the same quest over and over. Not so people would be able to create a different min-max quest farming sequence that hits a quest precisely when the ransack timer ends.

I think you're supposed to just put the ransacked quest out of your mind for a while, go do something else fun, and come back after a non-precisely-defined period of time...

/signed. I hate running a quest thinking I am off ransack only to find out it's a wasted run.

I would even buy the ransack reset bypass that others proposed from time to time. I mean it really sucks when you are farming for a bauble and watch other people get it and then you reach ransack for the 4th week in a row without getting it. Some people would pay for the option to just farm it until you get it.

Thought some more about this, the timer display itself would be very useful, but since we have raid bypass timers, ransack should have a bypass as well.

A way of checking ransack would be great. I'd recomend just having a command that gives you a list of quests were you have at least one ransacked chest and how much time before it goes off ransack.

I probably wouldn't buy a ransack timer reset myself (I haven't bought a raid one) as I find that taking a break from these things is in my best interest anyway, but I'm sure other people would.
