Has anyone else noticed that since the Epic Destiny update players have been afraid of Elite? It's not just at the heroic levels either Epic Elite is like out of the question too. What happened to enjoying a challenge or zergers?

DDO Fear:
"The constant awareness that running that material on Elite (Heroic or Epic) with a PUG can be a total waste of valuable time; And the interaction with those that cannot hold their own can produce ulcers."
Nothing has changed since early 2006 really.

I hate chasing monsters that archers pike the wrong way.
Yes I am afraid becaues I hate archers that run backwards and do not contain aggro they are useless to the group and especially if we want to kill the Red Dragon on the Challenge! (They spent too much time running around and wasting time that the red dragon asks us to hit the gong with 2 seconds remaining, That would not have happened if they stopped running around so much. Instead of 2 seconds it would have probably been 10, which is enough time). Stop running and stay still or make it so melee can help you! No archers or have archers that know to run aggro they get in tight circles instead, or know how to run them into the melee or casters in the group or none at all. For some reason ranged class run backwards and away from the group instead of keeping it within. I hate it and every time I see it I roll my eyes.

The Blood of the Red Dragon
I have no issues running heroic elite. But for EE, I've learned the hard way to stick with guild/friends/channel. It only takes a few pugs that are totally unprepared, no plan, no tactics, no listening, running willy nilly all over the place and making you choose between eating up a BIG stack of SP pots and rez scrolls or failing, to cause you to decide to be careful about the groups you try EE with.
EE is more than just "the next harder difficulty." It truly requires a different approach. The tactics that will get you through EN and EH are often useless in EE. Accordingly, EE becomes more do-able when grouped with people who get this, and try to prepare accordingly.
There's another factor. Even in a good group, EE has little to no margin for error. Cast a heal or mass heal on the wrong target at the wrong time, and the cooldown can be deadly. Get kocked down at the wrong time, and even a well-built character can die very quickly. My gaming is constantly interrupted by RL stuff, so I've learned I can only try EE when I have a huge block of uninterrupted time. Even a very short interruption can be deadly to myself or to a party.
Thelanis: HoeLee, Rasminder, Cerinah, Arlinah, Shrenn, Rowkhan, Paladonis - Jakburton's Porkchop Express
Sarlona: Aingell of Death, KimberLee, Soullaris the Divine, Bendyr - The Order of Cygnus
I used to run EE a lot with pugs and it went fine almost everytime. Some pugs were bad and some were good, but it's a part of the game and you need to adjust your gameplay accordingly.
I am not sure why people are so afraid of running with pugs these days.. probably because they want an effortless guild run. I mean if your pug group fails most of the times then perhaps you might be a part of the problem. ( not you op but in general )
Well speaking for myself Most rangers not all dont know how to kite or when to pull their swords for that matter and i'm a Ranger when a quest gets to that point I usually already have my swords out doesn't matter what set as i'm trying to keep agro on me so the fighters can come help me and whoever has to finish the end stuff can do so without getting killed on the other hand i dont zerg either...

You know what ee gourps do. They fill fast and stay together for hours.
I love running Epic Elite Content. If there is a channel for players running EE quests I would love an in game e-mail to join in. EE is for the Best of the Best, Period.
