Default Epic Elite Detour solo - Arcane Archer

This run was rather sloppy and slow (took about 2 hours and 5 re-entries - 2 deaths in spell wards, 1 from lagging out in front of a dire bear, and 2 from getting earthgrabbed before I realized the earth ele in the end fight needed to die first).

Overall, getting to Song's chest was very easy (took ~20 minutes going slow and carefully) while getting to the end chest didn't go as easily (so if I do this again in the near future, it'll likely just be to Song's chest >_>)...will eventually redo this to minimize/eliminate re-entries, but either way I think it's not bad for a first-life AA's first attempt at soloing EE Detour - and my second full quest ee solo - (and it went much better than my first EE Solo...died 11 times in Impossible Demands >_>). I do feel that I may need to do a few ranger past-lives at least for more damage, though. >_>

    Completion Screenshots:

Note the screenshots are taken without the quest technically being completed, as I invited people to loot afterwards, and wanted the screenshots to clearly show me as the only party member.

Now to practice sucking less at EE soloing so I can post non-multi-re-entry runs.

    Nice work!

So I'm guessing from all these achievement threads that despite me loving Shiradi, it really does make sense to get into FotW once my twists are all sorted...

Edit: Heh, Cocoon twisted - indeed, who can resist!

Out of curiosity - primary bow used?

I only used Pinion (upgraded to tier one to go with my +3 wis planar focus of erudition ) along with grave wrappings.

Rejuvenation Cocoon, Pin, and Enlightenment are all important twists for me. FotW is definitely pretty powerful for an Arcane Archer, yeah, especially with Pin twisted.

I no-kill farm Song's chest on elite sometimes w/ my rogue - you don't have to fight most of the mobs early on, something to consider if you intend on farming it.
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

Good to know. Gonna have to try that when I actually get somewhere with fixing my rogue. >_>

Ok, ta. No Pinion for me; no CitW yet (PUG aversion of late).

Cool, I'll have to give FotW a whirl once I've got over to it. Focused too much on the other Monk mutt of late. Cocoon is great on just about anyone with SP, heh.

I was kinda looking forward to getting Brace for Impact but I can see how it's hard to give up any of those twists for it. I guess on an AA I'm out of harm's way more often. Although melee mobs do seem more and more fleet of foot these days.

    Ta for the info!

My AA monk is using otto's whistler instead of Enlightement.
Sure, my build is a lot more melee-focused than most of the other AA monks after U14 (when out of adrenalines, even 10k stars doesn't allow me to do more DPS using ranged than melee, so I go into melee) ; but the added CC helps soloing EEs a lot.
Mobs are helpless when dancing from Otto's whistler too. You should try it !
