Default Bone Knight (PM2/SD1/Rogue2) What Epic Destiny??

Hey guys My WizTank is almost at Level 16 and I'm starting to think of Epic Destinies and originally when EDs came out I figured I'd go with Unyielding Sentinel both because it has alot of tank-like boosts and I figured it was funny to have that on a Palemaster but unfortunately at least half the abilities don't work on a PM in form (tried on a few different instances of lama including U17) including the legendary moment (the one that heals you 1k and gives 10k temp hp) so unfortunately its lost it attractiveness.

So my question is...what should I go for...feel free to suggest twists as well but avoid anything absolutely required for the build to function.

    Here's the build for reference

    True Neutral Dwarf Wiz12/Fighter6/Rogue2 PM2/SD1

    Str 16 (Lvl-ups here)
    Dex 16
    Con 16
Int 14 (+2 Int Tome at level 7)

Skills: Intimidate, Concentration, UMD (.5 UMD until 7 than use 2nd rogue lvl to catch up)

    Level Order: Rogue 1, Wiz 2-8, Fighter 9, Rogue10, Wiz 11-15, Fighter 16-20

    Feats

    1 Toughness
    2 Extend (W)
    3 THF
    6 Empower, SF: Necro (W)
    9 GSF:Necro, Shield Mastery (F)
    12 Combat Expertise
    13 Maximize (W)
    15 Mental Toughness
    16 IC:Slashing (F)
18 Quicken, Improved Shield Mastery (F)
    20 ITHF (F)
    21 Bulwark of Defense
    24 GTHF

Oh and here's the original plan for ED...Unyielding Sentinel (Twists: LD - ICE, SD - Lithe, SD - Meld into Darkness)

for Twists, Embrace the Light is nice on a PM

That reminds me when you twist something that has a prerequisite do you have to twist the prerequisite as well.

For example Endless Faith grants an extra 10% SP and increases EoP to 30SP which is enough SP to use Death Aura BUT it requires Radiant power 1/2/3 && Healing power 1/2/3 and isn't worth it if I have to twist all 3. Also ETL requires Radiant Power 1

no, you dont have totwist prereqs, but if you twist an ability that requires another ability in the same tree to work, it would be useless unless you twisted both

to clarify: in your example, ETL or Endless Faith would work just fine, but Twisting Double Rainbow without also twisting Prism would be worthless

Legendary dreadnought would probably be the best option, it has some nice synergy with axes and I'm guessing you're fighting with dwarven axes. It also gives some extra prr with combat expertise and a 25% damage reduction clickie for survivability.

If going for this option switching out the thf feats for power attack, cleave, greater cleave would be preferable since a lot of the tree is dependent on having cleave.

Fair warning though with playing a mixed martial/caster character in this tree is that it is extremely click intensive (to the point that you feel you're missing out on dps due to not being able to click abilities fast enough) and personally I felt that I was playing "whack a mole" with my hot-bar more than looking at what my character was doing.

Good twists would likely be Unnatural reflexes from Magister (+6 reflex save, +3% dodge and ability to tumble through enemies), Dragon hide from draconic (+3 AC, +6 fort save, don't fail fort saves on 1's), if using light armor Lithe from Shadow dancer (+6 AC, +6 max dodge, +6 reflex save) and Legendary shield mastery from Unyielding sentinel.
The Tarcane Death knight; a solo friendly plate wearing (0% spell failure) arcane knight.

Hmmm I was avoiding that ED because of my lack of cleave etc. I was was worried giving up the THF Line would gimp my DPS too much but I guess with the stuff LD grants it wouldn't really be a concern...would be nice to fit in some tactics feat in as well...would take a few days with Fred though (IIRC feat swaps are free after 20)...maybe some Plat for sibrys shards

Thats ok this guy was made BECAUSE I love having lots of things to click I'm sure I'll find the best groove

So that puts my list of possible twists at

Embrace the Light (30% Reduction in light Damage)
Endless Faith (+10% Sp and Echoes buffed enough to use DA)
Lithe (+6 AC, +6 max dodge, +6 reflex save)
Unnatural Reflexes (+6 reflex save, +3% dodge, tumble through enemies)
    Legendary shield mastery (+20 PRR)
White Dragon Heritage (+30 Cold Spell Power)
Draconic Spell Augmentation (15% chance of 9D6 Sonic Damage)
Shield Prowess (+30% to Shield AC)

Most likely go with: Endless Faith, Improved Combat expertise and Lithe

Update alot of LDs abilities require PA to be active and I pretty much always have CE on so it's kinda of moot

hm, Fury of the wild might be good then. While it's quite dependent on rage (and thus lowering your AC by 2) i generally find it a good trade of since it gives a 100hp innate and about 50 extra from primal scream.

It gives very nice adrenaline criticals with dwarven axes and in epic elite content the no fail 10sec trip adrenaline effect is fantastic.

It also has an option to buy 6 extra prr and Insult (a triple threat attack) that can be good for tanking.

I'm currently using this destiny when I melee and find it quite enjoyable partly because it also frees up my most expensive twist of fate (Sense weakness) and lets me use my twist points for something else.

Depending on t)he content you plan on running, then Brace for Impact (+fort) might not be a bad idea. I know you have the undead form stacking fort, but you might need more on EE.
    Bhask the Unseen 21 Rog(tr 3), Tangoh 15 Barb(tr life 3),Domand d'Jorasco 18/2(tr4 )sorc/paly BF, Nilock 20(tr life 3), Domandi 20/8 1st life shuriken thrower.

    200% fort isn't enough?

That sound pretty awesome actually...I'm assuming primal scream prevents casting like normal rage eh would be a balancing act between casting haste/death aura/tensers and raging.

I really wish they would add Eldritch Knight or Bladesinger or similar Gish Prestige as a Epic Destiny

An alternative could be Shiradi champion to get all those extra effects on the awesomeness that is Ice storm. Also It's very funny when people die through walking through your glitterdust :P

Edit: Nvm Primal scream does not seem to block casting in anyway is this WAI because if it is...its awesome and barring any new epic destinies before I hit 20 I'll likely go with that. First twist will likely be ICE simply because ill start at legendary dreadnought than make a beeline for FOTW than pick up endless faith and lithe later

Does CE add enough AC to be worth the loss of DPS and 3x spell cooldown?

Yeah at lvl 16 with sh*t equipment it adds about 12 AC...the better my equipment gets the more AC it adds...also with ICE it adds 20 PRR...as for the downside I barely notice the extra cooldown as almost all the spells I use still have a shorter cooldown than duration with it active so it's really a non-issue...as for reduced DPS..how I don't recall any penalties to strength or damage or anything...and if your talking about not using PA....PA is 5 damage...thats nothing.

Honestly I don't think any of the EDs are suited to my build and I kind of expected that since it's kind of niche I'm thinking maybe Cold Focus Draconic w/Twists Prism+Rainbow (and ICE of course) would give me a good boost to a little bit of everything

prolly you wont stay in one ed all the time anyway. regardless of the non-synergy with pm, sentinel will work great for your build when tanking. same with ld and not having cleave, the axe bonuses are great and when you need more melee dps. when you soloing and need more caster power draconic is there for you. you will have to have energy burst twisted in from draconic no matter what. could be that you want tsunami from primal as well if its working right. fury is fantastic too, with primal and sense weakness.

basically the more versatile your base build is the more ed options you have. use them all.
