the addition of air elementals seems like an annoing thing howerven as can be read in the release notes the knockdown/knckback effect can now be mittagated by simply blocking (holding shift). still need to try if this is working but it would make fighting aireles a bit more tactical and less of a nuicanse.
if you actually read the release notes, you'd see that air eles are being nerfed big time. among other things to appease the complainers, theyre making it so that actively shield blocking prevents knockdown/knockback. Even still, just instakill them and get on with life. it's fine that theyre adding them, imo.

This. Beat me to it haha.
edit for clarity: from the release notes:
"Air elemental AI has been updated:
Melee characters have a larger safe range to attack them when they're not charging.
They now have distinct casting and charging states.
Blocking now prevents knockback/knockdown."
and
"Players who are knocked down will no longer be hockey-pucked around on their back from knockback attacks (yes this includes giants and air elementals!)"
and on a side-note, the ability to prevent knockback by shield blocking also applies to dragons.
Nuff said. learn to do research, people... plz?

The ending is more streamlined and solo friendly, and for this particular quest I think it is a good thing. The old quest could be solo.5 (solo w/ hireling) too, but the new way saves quite a bit of time w/o really losing too much. I picked up a scale in each chest.
on way to read about update 17 now but will there be new quests or just epic versions of existing quests?
There is a new raid (I haven't tried it yet - the server was pretty empty while I was on).
At least one quest (Tor) has been altered, but there may be more.
The wilderness area now has an epic version which has different objectives than the heroic version. The map for both has some modifications (the GH public area has been modified too).
