    I personally like the THF and Ranged option one better.

    Unless you just have some uber Khopesh lying around...I would stick with THF.

    Though...2 Deathnips seems mean.

    For me...EAGaxe and ESoS and Sireth and Cleaver and EXuum just seems nice.

    Swapping into Pinion and Manyshot+IPS clears a room just soooo fast.

    What are the great Khopesh at high level? LootGen or there any named that are just great?

    BTW with the Headman's Chop while in LD...I would think you'd consider DAxes or Battle Axes? Or am I way off in this thinking?

    Blarg, no wonder this seemed too easy. Moving Ranger to 1st level would solve this problem (post updated to reflect that). If you're starting with 12 INT + 4 tome as the OP recommended, you'll still have plenty of skill points to have full ranks in Open Lock, Disable Device, Search and UMD.

    The only way you are off is that my ESOS is on another toon and my khopeshes are on this one, and this one has 2 fighter past lives. Acquired gear is always something to consider. Especially with such atrocious luck (technically have never pulled an SOS shard, and took 25 runs to get my first 3 heroic comms)

    Edit: just Drow khopeshes and alchemicals. Not certain if Chaosblade can be used here due to alignment

    Good point about gear on certain toons vs builds.

    I would think the Arty would hit the UMD req for EChaos Blades rather easily though.

    UMD:30 is pretty easy - 23 + 5 (Arms and Armor@14) + 2 (CHA@14) = 30.

    Goggles: Dream visor (yellow)
    Docent: Red docent
    Bracers: Bracers of the sun soul
    Ring 1: Ring of master artifice (green, colorless)
    Ring 2: Ring of shadows (yellow)
    Boots: Boots of corrosion (green, colorless)
    Gloves: Backstabbers gloves (yellow)
    Helm: Helm of frost (yellow, colorless)
    Cloak: Envenomed cloak (green)
    Necklace: Jorgundals collar (green, colorless) / GS hp
    Trinket: Planar focus insightful str
    Belt: Spare hand (blue, colorless)

    Plenty of slots, seeker, sneak attack etc, with all sorts of elemental resistances. Only thing I really miss is a +4 melee damage item, and I'd have to swap gear to search for traps.

    You could get that on your sireth/cleaver.

    I'm looking at these builds and trying to come up with a take on it that can take more punishment before healing. Something with a higher PRR than 60. Say at least 80-100 PRR.


    What about dropping evasion and the two monk levels and the manyshot to invest in heavy armor for more PRR and probably shield mastery for turtling and added DR when necessary? Something like a 12ART/6FTR/2PAL or 16art/2pal/2ftr.


    I like the increased saves from splashing paladin but I'm not sure how much more PRR the 4 fighter levels actually give (besides the stalwart prestige), and the wiki doesn't really help in that regard, so I'm not sure if it is worth the trade off.


    Do fighters & paladins still get more PRR than other classes or is it solely based on overall BAB now? Anyone know for certain?

    I'd go ahead and give up on the Abishai set. Trying to keep it will hold you back gear-wise.

    Personally, I'm thinking of something like this for my /2 pally version:
    Head: EE Black Dragon Helm (Green, Yellow)
    Neckalce: Min2 HP Item
    Trinket: Planar Focus of Porwess w/ +8 Con
    Goggles: EE Intricate Field Optics w/ +8 Cha (Green, Yellow)
    Armor: T3 Epic Black Scale (Blue)
    Cloak: Adamantine Cloak of the Bear
    Belt: EH or EE Girdle of Giant's Brawn (at least Green, Colorless - the higher slot from the EE version of this item is not important to me, as this is where I'm planning to slot the Globe)
    Bracers: EE Bracers of Twisting Shade
    Gloves: EE Nether Grasps
    Boots: EE Treads of falling Shadow
    Ring 1: T3 Ring of Master Artifice (Green, Colorless)
    Ring 2: Seal of House Avithoul (stat irrelevant)
    Ring 2 Swap: Seal of House Dun'Robar (+10 stunning, stat otherwise irrelevant)

    I know a few people are trying to get the Epic Blademark's Docent to get a good trip DC, but I'd have to see how high I could get before I try farming it. In addition, if I was going for the /2 ranger version, I'd rather have the EE Dream Visor than the EE Intricate Field Optics.

    Planned weapons are mainly T4 Cleaver and T4 Pinion, both slotted with good.

    Postumus: Class has no direct affect on PRR (though PrEs can have an affect).

    Thanks. I couldn't remember how that ended up since when they first introduced the concept certain classes were going to benefit more than others and there was a whole bruhaha about clerics not getting PRR but FvS would.


    Looking at your sig and your youngwrunt is listed as Art12/pal2/monk2/LD5. Is that right? I'm assuming you went art16/pal2/monk2 or Art12/pal6/monk2? If the latter, how do you like that build compared to the Art16/pal2/monk2?

    I'm 16/2/2. I'm only listed as 12/2/2 now because my arty is only level 16. :P (Already have EDs done on the character, though...can't wait to hit 20 and immediately get Master's Blitz).

    Gotta go over the augments at every level, not just look at the level 24 ones. Breaking DR: Good, for example, is a level 12 red augment.
