Risia Ice Games Server vs Server Event

I feel that we need to spice up the Risia Ice Games.

I would like to suggest a SERVER vs. SERVER race like when the market tent was blownup and we raced to unlock the Subterrean or whatever it was that we did the race for.

Since the Ice Jumpers age getting Twigs, trinkets, and Coal out the wazoo, I would like to suggest that there be a BONFIRE created on the Lighthouse Island.

In this bonfire, you click on it and then you can add twigs, coal, and trinkets to make the bonfire brighter and higher. Way up on the lighthouse, there is a cage or special magic warded cell that contains some very angry Ice Elementals. They know the fire will melt them.

Have the Ice Elementals say silly things at people on the Lighthouse Island. Throwing taunts at us, such as, your mother smelled of elderberry wine, etc. Also, make there be a general annoying death wail emanating from the Ice Elementals for fear of being melted that can be heard throughout the harbor.

When the fire gets high enough, the Ice Elementals MELT and the Stormreach Harbor is saved. But no, the bonfire has released FIRE ELEMENTALS from the plane of Fire. The Fire Elementals go on a Stormreach Harbor rampage. Yes, random innocents will die, but the same happened during the Tent Explosion and all those devils showed NO MERCY on the low levels.

Rinse and repeat each time the Fire Elementals are released.


The only way to defeat the fire elementals is to
1. Use your scrolls from Risia Ice Games. (or the same scrolls purchased from scroll vendors but it has to be one of those seven scrolls)
2. Use the Eternal Wand of Ray of Frost that is made on the Risia Ice Games altar.
3. Use Snowball from recipes 15 and 16. Snowballs do the most damage. Make snowballs do a lot of damage and actually create a graphic of people throwing snowballs. The snowballs that use Murky Water do less damage than the snowballs made from Holy Water. Give that a purpose.
4. Use a Snow Elemental Gem to summon a Snow Elemental to counter them.
5. Coal from the Festivult or Risia Ice Games HEALS them. You know, some people just HAVE to heal them. So why not allow them to? Anonymously of course.
6. No spells work whatsoever on them, just the Risia Ice Games Scrolls and the items listed above. So healers, will have to actually heal or go on weapon beat down mode. Players will really want those scrolls.

Cold touch, Frost, and Icy Burst weapons function normally. But only if the weapons say FESTIVAL COLD, FESTIVAL FROST, and FESTIVAL Icy Burst on them. Since this field is already kept in the database any weapon can be checked to see if it has been enabled.

What does this do? It gives a reason to use up all of the loot from Risia Ice games. It also gives purpose to the 100s of destroyed Twigs, Coal, and Trinkets.

Where does the Server Contest come in?

The server that kills the MOST Fire ELementals, all players on that server get in the mail three Fernia Lava Tokens. The Fernia Lava Token has only one purpose.

What does this token do? It turns Kobold Assault into a SNOWBALL fight with the Kobolds. Only snowballs can be used. ONLY. It is a snowball fight.

Why three tokens? So players can do it on NORMAL, HARD, and ELITE. make it function like Devil Assault though. Normal is level 6, Hard is level 12, ELITE is level 18.
Give the Kobolds some snowball forts. Have a Risia Ice Altar in there so people can craft their own snowballs from the recipes. ANother way for us to use up motes and recipes.

The RARE end reward items could include

Hat of Mt. Etna. Usable five times per rest period. You activate it, and your head shoots rocks and lava in a 20 foot radius. Doing damage and counters sleet storms and ice storms. It should be shaped like a cone, so we can call people that wear them coneheads.

Cloak of the Fernian Furnace., 20% cold damage reduction. A Cool Looking Cloak that actually displays on the character. I bet people would kill for this one.

A hair style where your head is on fire, sort of like the Ghostrider.

Boots of Fire Footprints, where your character is immune to slipping during sleet storms and ice storms. Your boots melt the Ice around you, but only you.
Fire Opal Trinket. Comes crafted at Craft Level 10.
