Default Can your pet rest at shrines?

Just rolled up a Druid and its ok, but then lvl 1. I noticed that there no obvious way to tell your pet to rest at the shrine? Any else I need to know about pets? Can someone help with this. Is there a guide for druids and pets?

Pet bar should have an "interact with target" button. Select shrine, click that button.*

    * That is the intended functionality. Whether this works depends on quest, pet level, your level, the price of tea in China, the stars' current alignment and how Feather of Sun is feeling that morning.**

** Some of the above may be figments of a deranged imagination.***

Yes it can. Click on shrine and then use my target icon on pet bar (looks like cogs).

It doesn't really look like it is but it's health will go up.

    Default Yes it can...

...but there's no indication that it's doing so. Use the interact button on the tool bar, and it will use the shrine, but it just stands there as normal.

The only way to tell is to wait, and eventually it's health bar goes up.

    Edit: Ninja'd ^^

In addition to all these above, I have noticed with my arty pet that there are SOME shrines (though not a ton of them) which are in some way glitched (I blame the physics engine). Hirelings (including the MoTU panther) will use them, but pets seem to be unable to do so.

The pet will move around the shrine, but will never actually use it. You can shift locations, try again, and they STILL won't use it. Fortunately, there are not a lot of these glitchy shrine locations.

I THOUGHT it was anywhere where there was rough/bumpy terrain around the shrine, but that's not true... some are surrounded by smooth "pavement" and the pet won't use them.

I haven't had a hireling rest issue in a while... pets, however...

    Maybe it was contagious

The wolf won't get much from that shrine unless you put skill points into heal. I know, it sucks. But it is what it is.

Ok, it does work but no it doesn't give any indication if resting or not. It would be a good idea for the pet to sit if resting so there is no waiting game. My own form when bear would be nice to sit while resting so the group knows I'm resting... Gone for a year or more , you tend to forget whats what

    Weird.
I know Artificer Mutts would sit when told to use a Rest Shrine - or at least they used to.

Kinda odd that the Druid Pups cannot do likewise. Unless, of course, that ability was removed/glitched somehow since I last had my Arti Mut use a shrine (and it has been a fairly long while).

    Or use wands.

Yes, I heal the wolf before I shrine if a player does not need the hp worse. I carry wands/scrolls to top player's/wolf's HP bar off if needed. I do solo heal lots of quests(not raids), so my sp bar must go a LONG way.

As a lvl 15 druid with zero points in heal i had my wolf rest at a shrine last night. It healed 25 hitpoints, which was hard to notice since it has around 400. It's like the druid in winter wolf form.. just stands there. No animation. What they need is to walk over sideways to the shrine and lift a leg...

Yah, arty mutts still do - druid pets still don't - and both animal forms have no rest animation.
