One D&D 3.5 class I would love to see in DDO is Fleshwarper
In DDO terms, basically an anti-druid. Arcane caster with mastery over aberrations.

As a prestige class, the best we could hope for this is a PrE, and it looks like it would fit wizards best. Unfortunately, there are a couple of problems with that idea. First, the wizard PrE's are spoken for already (pale master, arch mage, and wild mage), and second, this seems to revolve a lot around the wizard's familiar, which isn't implemented in game currently. Not an inherently bad suggestion, but not one that I see being implemented any time soon.
I did not mean slavishly imitate PnP prestige class. That's obviously impossible. I meant making a similar standalone class.
Actually, it is. They are called companions Wizards do not have them, but artificers and druids do.and second, this seems to revolve a lot around the wizard's familiar, which isn't implemented in game currently.
Unfirtunately, I agree. The thread is more along lines of wishful thinking -- "MAYBE devs will listen and think about it!"Not an inherently bad suggestion, but not one that I see being implemented any time soon.

At one point in time, they had an acolyte of the skin pres planned for sorcs...kind of similar-ish

You're free to petition for whatever additional classes you want, of course - I'm personally holding out hope for Swashbuckler and a decent DEX-based melee option - but considering how long we had to wait for druids, I wouldn't exactly hold my breath waiting for an esoteric base or PrE like Fleshwarper. I prefer to restrict my wish list to the "remotely plausible," thanks. Heck, I'll settle for them finally finishing all the PrEs they promised over 4 years ago and delivering the long-delayed Enhancement overhaul.

were far more likely to see this as an npc than player class.
Infact i think its already covered by yolthoun.
As a player class, the devs seem to have Artificer and druid being oposite sides of the same coin.
