Small text is unreadable

I noticed earlier today that any smaller text, chat box, description text, etc. is unreadable. The text itself almost looks like parts of the letters are cut out and replaced with a see through texture so it is very difficult to read.

I have restarted my client, and changed most of my graphic settings, and nothing works, the text stays that way.

Help would be appreciated.

The monitor is a 24in I think, the resolution is 1440x900, I have been playing on the monitor for a few months and it hasnt done this before. Its almost as if the text is too thin in some spots and is just not there.

Not sure how to add a screenshot.
