Epic Gear Question for a Clonk...

OK...I have been playing my Human Clonk into Epics...

He has a buncha relevant past lives, but no completionist...a couple multi lives on casters...

Anyway...I am shocked by these new items and it excites me...

My question...

Where do you guys slot your CON item and GFL (or SFL) item?
*I currently have some Amrath Belt with 6 CON and GFL

Where do you guys slot your Heavy Fortification?
*I am using Minos. (I liked the Heavy Fort and the TOughness on it...I now have Toughness on my armor...so I feel I can improve this slot greatly).

I have my +6 CHR Skills and bonus SP on my boots.

I have my +45 HP and Concord/opp on my Goggles.
*I also have Tharnes...and sadly...I wish I could wear the Tharnes more.

My bracers I wear are garbage...
My Gloves I wear are the Bramble-Casters and the Healing Gloves from Reaver Raid.
*I would like to upgrade to those Purple Dragon Knight...or get Bracers/Gloves of claw.

My ideas so far...
Upgrade Minos into a +45 HP Heavy Fort Helm
This lets me wear my 45HP item full time...and wear my Tharnes goggles full time.

This is the only "solid" thought I have atm.

I was also thinking if there was a place to slot CON or GFL instead of my belt. I could upgrade to a +8 CON item and GFL/SFL item.

I guess Bracers/Gloves of claw and slot GFL?

Anyway, sorry for how long this is...

Have you seen those delicious +7 Wisdom +2 Insight Con +4 Superior Parrying Bracers from the Villager Trader? Slap on an Eldritch +1 Save Recipe for a total of +5 to your saves! Yum!

With my set up my GS HP item would be moved to my belt, unless your keen on wearing a set or something.

My trinket is the Litany, though if you aren't up for that grind a +3/+8 WIS Trinket isn't too hard to get. Getting the right set bonus is a whole another matter. Though when combined, I think it gives like +250 SP, Spell Pen IX, and +15 Psionic Spell power. Which is delicious.

That's not quite true, the Archers on EE aren't that tough to torc off of. I have personally torced off EE Archers to refill my mana bar when first learning to solo EE. I wouldn't dare to torc off those melee things. I wear noxious embers for Greater Arcane Lore, and swap in Torc when it's needed.

Well I am currently wearing the Epic Ring of the Buccaneer, Covers my DEX, GL +2, and Slotted +1 Exception Wisdom. My other ring is a +8 Wisdom Ring of Natural Armor 6.

Well, you'll need / want something in the interim while you aim for longer-term gear.

A low-cost gear set for the short term would be the Villager set - belt, bracers + armor. Toss on some PDK gloves for the amp and +7 STR, you'll have +7/2 in each CON and WIS.

If not, you can find WIS 8 on a ring or other items; I'd look for the +3 exceptional either on the spider spun caparison (I may have a few in the bank, honestly, I could toss your way) or the trinket (trinket is harder).

First off.... my clonk is a melee clonk, whereas you mention caster past lives... so some of this may not be quite the same.

But I find the Minos to be a problem due to the need to slot Devotion. I wear a Devotion Hat, and the only other decent option is a ring if you melee.

My belt is a Spare Hand, with +6 con and Heavy Fort Slotted. In addition to the slots, it gives +5 Stunning Fist DC, +3 UMD, and a smidge of doublestrike.

I actually don't have GFL slotted currently, but I'm running with 700HPs give or take depending on stance. I was planning on slotting it, but with the announcements to a change in how that stuff works in U17, I'm saving my tokens until then.

I wear that on my neck... and after using enough SP that it doesn't matter I swap to the Torc.

For boots, I mainly use the +Dex/Striding boots from the new Chain.

Bracers have been mentioned... Superior Parrying is great. But unless you plan on the whole Sun Soul set, I like better Conval of Superior Parry bracers. Healing amp is always good.

For gloves, I go between PDK for Hamp/HPs and the Cove gloves. Unfortunately... they are only available during the Crystal Cove event, but they give +2.5 damage to unarmed combat plus enough sneak attack to make up for the lack fo Tharnes (I use the same goggles).

The 250SP one only works with a set with a CitW weapon. Unfortunately I find those a bit lacking for a clonk compared to the necessary grind.

Bloodstone is kidna pointless for a clonk, your crit profile is horrible (although that increases the need for sneak damage if possible). Head of GF is good, although a crafted trinket can provide +2 luck and something else like 2% Dodge (via the mobility feat).

while I never actively Torc in EE... I still find I get a decent chunk of SP from it just from normal hits, so I do still use it.

I like that Seal of DunRobar with +2 CON and a tactic on it.

DunRobar can be good for either Combat Mastery or Stunning. A Holy Bursted ToD ring is, at times, the most damage any ring can do for you. Any ToD ring will do really, although some of the +6/+1 stat combos are more useful than others (I use a +6 Cha one).
I also like the Epic Ring of the Stalker. Vorpal attacks, exceptional Sneak damage, up to 2 slots, and the largely pointless (for a clonk) Seeker... it is the only item that can be worth more damage than a Holied ToD ring (if sneak and vorpal both work).

A Seal of Avithoul is also another way to get sneak damage, and the underrated but situationally awesome Improved Deception. (I'll sometimes remove my Torc for a Golden Guile for this....)

Cloak

I love the Mabar Cloaks... blur can be UMDed or cast by the arcane. Unfortunately you just missed Mabar..... the Eveningstar cloaks are a couple of decent options (but the grind is horrible), or the Drow Piwafwi could be your source of Sneak Attack until you get Cove gloves.

I think devotion is too key to use the Hat slot for this. Sneak can be ring (well, so can devotion), cloak or gloves. The Drow cloak is pretty cheap. The problem is the Reaver's gloves have only a 60 devotion, vs. a Hat or Ring that can get to 108. Once Epic GH comes out though.... the Reaver's gloves may be a much better option.

You don't mention armor, but best option is probably the Caparison... Resist 6, Toughness, Concentration, Reinforced Fists, Ki Gen... it is awesome. I have the +3 Wis version, but depending on your total gear layout any of them might be OK. The only thing I think could be better is Green dragonscale, if you are heavily caster focused. (And since they both have Toughness and Resistance, you could also swap between them depending on need.)
