    Default Weapons

I would really really like to see nun-chucks in the game for monks! It'd be amazing fun.

I have a few simple ideas that I think would be a lot of fun. The objective is more exciting game play.

    1. Expand the weapons available.. (or the animations). I know the game has had a lot of content updates/upgrades. Would it be too hard for turbine to add new - interesting weapons.

    2. I was wondering if it would be possible to have a separate spot such as the one the arrows go it. This would be able to carry a side arm weapon that could be activated by pressing a different button. It'd be interesting to be able to hit with the left and right hands independently. This may be hard. But hand to hand combos seem fun.

Anyway.. Misc Ideas. Take 'em or leave them

Nunchakus are very difficult to animate well. That's why Michelangelo had his taken away.

I would like to see some polearm and/or scythe love though.

There are a few weapons that I have always wanted to see in the game

-Sabers (medium-length, curved, slashing blades, historically some of the most devastating cutting weapons ever)
-Halberds (long reach, axe-like blade, spear-like point, and either a hammer or a spike on the back)
-Glaives (Long reach, knife-like slashing blade, sometimes with a hook on the back edge)
    -Spears (obvious)

I feel like sabers belong because no other type of sword has a longer service history than the saber, the saber was the last sword ever used in actual combat and died along with the cavalry charge. Sabers were beautiful and deadly weapons and would look awesome in game. Halberds belong because they are a very versatile weapon and would look really cool with a dead kobold stuck on one end. Glaives historically were very good weapons, it's essentially like putting a heavy, long-bladed knife at the end of a pole and imbuing it with the powers of righteous asskickery. It's fast, and hits relatively hard. I think the comparison between the halberd and glaive would be a matter of damage vs. crit range. Halberds have much heavier blades and would therefore do more damage. However glaives can be much more precise and quick, meaning that criticals would be easier. And spears are obvious, I can't think of a weapon as timeless as the spear. Sure swords have been around for a while but spears have always been around since the dawn of man and you could argue that even modern bayoneted rifles are much like spears in purpose and use. Many people say the AK-47 has caused the most death of any weapon system ever devised, I say that award goes to the spear, from the stone age to the bronze age to the iron age and even to today, the spear is and always has been a part of warfare.
