    Default No mouse over information account-wide

    I am not getting any descriptions when I mouse over items in my pack or bank account. They do show up when I mouse over items in my Shared Bank though. Also, when I mouse over things in the LFM panel, I cannot see group members or quest descriptions. When mousing over hotbars and buffbar nothing comes up. This is occurring on all my characters.

    I have similar issues seemingly at random. I will get the tooltip pop up for a very short duration, sometimes not even long enough to be able to read anything.

    I have just discovered it won't give any info in my character sheet either. This is extremely annoying.

    relog and clean out your mouse.

    Also, other programs can interact/interfere as these are directX calls.

    Beyond this, known player issue, and it would be an engine issue. Meaning good farking luck on getting any change done. Turbine does NOT spend the money, save maybe once every 3 years to make any changes to the engine.

    try hitting z to examine so you can read the description when this happens. restarting the client has always worked for me (until it it hits again ).

    Turbine sent me this email with 2 suggested fixes. The 1st did not work, but the 2nd did, for anybody else who is having mouse-over issues.



    Greetings ,

    Thank you for contacting Turbine Technical Support. Please go into the Options menu and under Graphics set the "Resolution" to a setting below what is currently in use, do not click yes or hit the "Enter" key though. Instead let the "Do you want to keep this setting?" timer (15 seconds) count down and the resolution will revert back to what was chosen previously.

    Once it does that re-check the tooltips, and if they still do not display correctly then exit the game and game launcher and open your "Documents" or "My Documents" > "Dungeons and Dragons Online" folder.

    In there locate and rename the "userpreferences.ini" file (ie olduserpreferences.ini) and relaunch the game. On the launcher at the "server select" list click the second button in the row in the upper right-corner (the one with the single down-arrow on it) and choose Options.

    In Options, under the "Repair" tab click to enable the "Reset game display settings" option, click ok, then login again to test again.
