To be honest I never thought to look for thieves tools on the AH. I find so many now that I just vendor most of them them. My 3 rogue splash toons always seem to find enough to replace what they use and still have plenty left over.

Maybe I will start putting the surplus on the AH cheap to try and help others.

I list all surpluses (which are tons) on the Ah for 930 start 990pp buyout. always list for 8 hours and usually they are all sold before i complete the next quest. Not sure if people inflating the prices are buying all the cheap ones or what...but been doing my part to keep +5 tools reasonable and stocked on AH

It's interesting, the trends of the AH. Weren't we just remarking the other night about how crazy certain items/ingredients were priced.

Cant lower the price like that,start with 7k buyout,that way those selling for 10k wont profit by buying your cheaper ones and reselling them.

I see those tools listed at crazy prices, but I can't believe anyone is *really* buying them. The ones <1000 seem to go, and the ones <500 *I* nab if I'm there in time. ...but 10K?!? No way.... Really?


About a month ago: Whoever AH'd a whole carpfish load of +5 stacks at 150 buyout, my almost full bank tab of backstocked Tools thanks you.

If they were for 149 buyout it was probably me.

And here whenever I pull a set I was just opening the who panel and mailing them to some level 1 unguilded rogue or artificer. I'm missing out on some potential plat apparently.

You can't imagine how many tools you need for running impossible demands . I've bought all the cheap ones off AH whenever I could and used almost all of em.

Why buy from AH? The thieves' tools +4 are dead cheap from the Free Agents' vendor. I don't believe +4 tools will make any significant difference (as compared to +5 ones) in the chance of disarming traps.

On the rare occasion I look on the AH for them on Thelanis can generally find them for an 800-1k buyout.

(and I'll do that over running to the harbor or swapping toons to dig a set out of the bank as a matter of sheer laziness)

I've been stocked up enough for a few weeks but I do tend to run out of +5's, especially if I am TRing.

I usually pay up to 1k for them, which is steep really but usually either an after thought when I am standing at the AH and notice I am low or when I have an oh *** moment in the middle of a quest/ chain
