Launcher update issue...

When I start launcher it Connects and Examines Programs fine but when it hits Update Programs it throws up a message window that says:

"Restart Required"... "The launcher has been updated and must restart." and goes no further, shut down restart does the same loop.

*ReInstalled the game 3 times (twice from disc & once from horribly slow website download)

*ReInstalled Graphics Driver 3 times also along with DirectX & LOTRDX9 Fix & dotnet FX still will not work.

Worked fine till the 3 day restart?????

Any suggestions...almost ready to give up

Try going into the Turbine folder on your computer for me it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited"
then send the Turbine invoker to your desktop (create a short cut) then right click properties click Advanced and click run as administrator. DOO stopped working for me like 3 weeks ago and tried to reinstall and it stopped working after a few days,then I ended up backing up my computer to its last complete backup.
Mine messed up because I got hit by a bunch of Win7 updates. There may be other fixes this worked for me.
My strange thing is I also have a win7 laptop and even after the updates ddo still worked on it.
Some people also click the compatibility tab and I think what they say to use there is win xp sp2 I think it is.
