WTS otto's box

Previously i had post an auction to sell my otto's box to the best offerer, but since it's limited time edition and it was payed 5000tp ( a bit less...not remember exact amount), some guildmates told me it was too cheap to sell it for ONLY 20 frds.
So i have decided to keep it for me until i will be able to use the stone of experience again ( i'm a slow palyer, it will take me at least 1 ful month......prolly more), but i will sell it if someone offer me a more balanced trade.

I'm not looking for 50 frds!!! But some good offers that i will take in consideration will have to include art least:
- 15 RED or GREEN dragon scales

PLUS at least 2 items from this list (or anything as good as those):
- ring of spell storing
- EE ivy wraps
- EE wizard ward
- planar forcus of erudition (+8 in/+3 exc int)
- Seal of house dun'robar (With exc combat mastery)
- royal crown mask

I think your guildies are wrong, respectfully. 1TP is worth roughly 1000 plat, so your Otto's box is worth roughly 5,000,000 plat.

1 FRDS = 300,000 plat (roughly), so 20 FRDS is (roughly) 6 million in plat value.

IMO, you had a decent and profitable offer on an item that is going to be tough to move because most players simply cannot make a transaction in that range.

I get the idea here. But what if someone said, "Velah will no longer drop FRDS for the foreseeable future."

How much would FRDS be worth then?

As I see it, FRDS are by orders of magnitude easier to acquire than a Holiday Box.... for now.

Generally true, but those boxes can't be bought now. I bought one of them when they were on sale and subsequently sold it for 6-7 mil plat (depending how you value the items).

The 20 is reasonable in my books. but I'm not sure how much more than that he could reasonably expect.

True, not being to buy the box now increases it's value. But there's the risk of holding that item. We don't know what Turbine has in mind. Just like the preview sale for +3 tomes, they became a regular store amenity shortly thereafter. Maybe the XP stones will be as well. If he doesn't move it before they do that, he could get stuck with a giant loss.

Totally agree. Hold on too long and you get stuck holding a box of yesterday's garbage maybe because they just came out with stones a la carte for 1500 :P

Trolling? Noone in their mind would offer a 20 FRDS + EE Ivy wraps for this..just the wraps are worth 20 FRDS alone or something around that. And you will still need 2 items from that list according to the OP. That's just insane and trying to overprice something.

Wow..... Wasnt expecting so many reply!
Anyway, it's true that usually 1 tp\1000 plat are good trade but, as someone pointed out, this is an item that is not anymore possible to buy! You can farm frds or any other items but FOR NOW you cannot buy an otto's box ....no matter how hard you try!
It' s also true that we don'know if in the near future Stones of xp will be regualrly on sale in the ddo store, but right now It is not!

Finally, as i said, i can still use it for myself! I have clearly specified that!
So this is the fact! I'll keep the box for me (still a great item, even if stones of xp will be available again in the future), unless i can sell it for his actual value PLUS the added value due to this being a not available item so far!
