Dear people who actually know this game,
I'm attempting to build a solid two weapon fighter type. One with a balance of respectable DPS without compromising survivability, some flavor, and enough fun while leveling to keep me going. So far, this is what I've come up with:
Either: Elf, Drow, Half Elf, or Human
STR 16
DEX 16
CON 14
INT 8
WIS 8
CHA 14
Alternatively - Lower the dex, bring up INT (I really hate only getting one skill point - but this would mean I'd need a better dex tome and frankly I'm dirt poor)
My only skill point would go into UMD.
I get to start at level 4 so those first levels can be jumbled.
Paladin 1: Two Weapon Fighting
Paladin 2: /
Fighter 1: Toughness, Oversized Two Weapon Fighting
Fighter 2: Power Attack
Should be enough to do reasonably well when I get to Stormreach, I think. Good saves, armor, damage, wand use.
Beyond that I have been considering 6 paladin for the many goodies, and 12 fighter for general melee badassery. Kensei II and probably Hunter of the dead I. The 2 remaining levels... I don't know. I hear monk is popular but I mean I'm gonna be in full plate, right? Or at least like half plate.
I'll be spreading out the paladin and fighter levels in such a way that I have something shiny to get at every level. I've compiled this list of feats that I (based on my very limited understanding - I've been gone for years) consider must-haves.
***Improved TWF at 6, Greater TWF at 11, Improved Critical
**Cleave, Great Cleave, Overwhelming Crit, Stunning Blow, Spring Attack (+dodge & mobility), Whirlwind Attack
*Force of Personality (Cha>Wis by far), More Toughnesseses
I suppose what I'm asking is:
-How does that list of priority feats look? Am I ranking them all wrong?
-What can I do with the last two remaining levels?
-Weapons to specialize in? I'm not opposed to the khopesh but it's just so ...everywhere.
-Defensive options. I'm not seeing a ton next to putting a tower shield on my hotbar.
Thanks in advance!
