    Default Wanting to run LoB

    Hi,

I'm looking to run LoB on Thelanis - any difficulties really as i want to craft my Alchem Handwraps with my lvl 22 Monk.

Is anyone running it regularly? Don't see many LFM's for it (which i can understand)....

    Cheers!

Nobody is running this regularly. You'll probably need to put a pug together.

If you've never done the raid before, I may be able to help ya put a group together to do it.

not to give advice where not requested. but you might want to rethink the whole alch handwrap crafting. quite a few lobs will be required, a good bit of luck..and in end you got a pretty decent handwrap, but not as good as one of the newer forgotten realms wraps that are much much much faster and easier to get.]

    my 2c.

PS i have completed alchemical wraps

Indeed there r some nice wraps from FR but the triple alchemical air made silver (if dark or byeshk if light ) still rule in dps , personaly i have made air/water/air for the + 2 wis which gives me max stunning dc along with dps , and also earth/air/water which is pefect for trash mobs giving good crowd control while having very good dps aswell ...i think those wraps easily r better than those of FR situational ... and tbh making em isnt that hard anymore since running lob has become very very easy and also u can buy ingrdients very cheap now ... i suggest if u havent made alchemical wraps to take the time to make 1-2 sets .. u wont regret it .Especialy if u r dark and need the dr breakers .

Here some wraps u mind be interested in aquiring or making ... i find these very helpful situational..

those are the wraps i was refering too. all of them perform as good or better than alchs IMO. well maybe except ivy, but they are just kinda cool flavor, and dang hard to get EE versions in my experience. but grave wrappings are solid do-alls till you can get your antipode gearset sorted out.

word on the streets is they are planning to have further upgrade tiers for citw items. so im figuring antipode at least for awhile will be king of the roost once the time has been invested to upgrade it

Got air-air-fire on my horc light alt. Its his current go-to's and I agree compared to options available before alchys where available (nothing really) they are outstanding. still solid wraps, the area bursting is problematic at times but very cool in others. Hard to feel like your gaining DPS by not having lightning strike swapping away from alchs, as those pops are huge and semi frequent.

On other hand I do not own a tier 3 antipode and cannot directly compare the DPS by gameplay..I am currently looking at single target DPS though and it looks very very hard to beat the antipode/trinket setups. Especially if the SA trinket is utilized.

On other hand I have used grave wraps extensively and the destruction and level draining effects ass well as the untyped damage are all very very cool, to point where id say its a better all-round wrap than alchemicals while grouping with folks or in EE content where the level drains I feel far outweigh the liability of AOE bursts that can sometimes break CC and get you killed

As i said alchs r best on trash mobs ..for single target boss beatdown antipode r indeed much better ...

Just completed my first handwraps (Air/Water/Earth). They are much better than any random loot.

I've never had run the Cannith raids before. It took 15 LoBs and around 13 MA. I also bought 2 martial cells from the AH. It can be faster if you manage to run it in difficulties that drops stuff that you need (ironically the most difficult for me was finding runs for heroic normal).

Sounds a lot and not sure if this the average, but I really liked LoB. IMHO it is the best fight in the game. Do it. It is fun.

I second that - totally fun raid! I'm also having some difficulties running Heroic Normal LoBs. Will try more soon!

From what I can gather the best chance to get Tier 1's is actually EH. They fill pretty quickly, the hardest part is getting a decent tank with good hate/intim.

Epic Hard? Ok. I honestly thought it was Heroic Normal, but whatever, I'll try anything and everything once!

The wiki says it primarily drops normal shards on Heroic Normal:

    http://ddowiki.com/page/The_Lord_of_Blades

    "Difficulty differences:
Normal - High drop rate for regular spirits (8% per player per spirit type). Low drop rate for refined spirits (3% per player per spirit type). Drops lots of Binding Fragments and a 50% chance to drop some Refined Fragments.
Hard - Medium drop rate for refined spirits (6% per player per spirit type). Drops Refined Fragments only.
Elite - High drop rate for refined spirits (8% per player per spirit type). Refined Fragments only.
Epic Normal - High drop rate for exquisite spirits. Refined Fragments only.
Epic Hard - Moderate drop rate for regular spirits and refined spirits. Drops both Refined and Exquisite fragments.
Epic Elite - High drop rate for regular spirits, low drop rate for refined spirits. Drops Exquisite fragments.
Cells - Greater Cannith Power Cells have a 10/15/20/25% drop rate. Martial cells have a 9/12/15/18%. Mystical same as Martial."

The Wiki's not always right, but I really don't want to waste 3 days...

Epic hard is pretty close to difficulty against heroic normal, and in my experience it feels like you get more/better drops on that difficulty (of regular spirits).

Confirmed. Epic Normal drops Exquisite & Epic Hard drops Regulars - spirits that is (weird). The shards seem all over the place but saw Exquisites on EH.
