    Default maximized window mode

Not sure if it can be done but, i think it would be great if the game´s window mode could be maximized so that the windows borders fully vanish at the borders of the screen, means the only way to move the mouse out of the window would be the taskbar if its forced visible.

First would this max the use of the screen for the game without loosing the ability to start other applications (via taskbar) and second would it reduce the risk to click on the desktop in the heat of battle. Not sure if that happens to others either, but if monsters walk around me repeatly and i have to turn my char to follow, moving the mouse around, it sometimes happens that the pointer crosses the window´s borders so that a click would make the the game window inactive.

Not sure what you mean. I play in full screen windowed mode all the time.

Well every standard windows window has three buttons at the top right corner (minimize, maximize, close).

DDO in window mode has only minimize and close there for me (maximize is shown but not clickable)

The only way to adjust the games window is by adjusting the borders manually, but that only works till the windows ratio. If the width is fully used, the height cant be increased further, and vice versa.

I'm not sure of this. Maybe it is my computer that is strange.

I can grab the top/bottom of the window and narrow it without affecting the width. I can grab the left/right side of the window and squash it without affecting the height. I can grab a corner and drag it to affect both height and width at the same time.

I also play in window mode and for the same reason you want to -- because when the game pukes up I want to be able to get to my task bar.

But, I've never had a problem with adjusting height and width separately.

Is it possible that the ratio is locked due to some sort of display setting? It is an area I don't know much about so sorry if that is a seemingly dumb question.

Its called -noborder, most games can have it added to the command line to remove that border. I am unaware if it would work with ddo, but i do it with many other games. You would launch whatever program through command line with your desired parameters defined. You will need to research further, but such options exist for many other games so i cannot imagine it being impossible here.

    Also another potential option: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=149378

Alt-enter is the default to switch between windowed and full screen mode.

Full screen mode isnt really an option for me. The game often crashes in fullscreen mode and then, refusing to let me use the task manager, refusing to stay in the background, leaving me no other choice than pushing the reset button on the computer case.

I´ll try to reasearch further into this anyway

this statement leads me to believe you have other issues with your computer that may be contributing to this.

a game crash is very rare for me. I dont recall the last time it happened even.

I play with dual monitors. Often Windowed/Full screen on both of them running 2 accounts/Clients even.

System Specs? What monitor are you using?

Seems to me like you were asking for a full screen mode

Why should i suggest to make the window mode to something like the fullscreen mode?

Fullscreen puts the game fully into the foreground, putting everything else in the background, while a maxed window would for example still show the taskbar if the taskbar is set to always in foreground.

Hm there dont seem to be any way to use command lines for the start up of DDO, because it cant be started without the launcher coz of the required login. And "noborder" for the launcher is rather stupid lol.

I dont think the launcher can be changed to start a shortcut (with command line) for the DDO.exe instead of the exe itself. Thats why i think thats the end of the road.
