Default Spring's resurgence works on NPCs?

When running Phiarlan Carnvial this evening, I was putting Spring's Resurgence on NPCs to help guard them. However, I couldn't tell if triggering it on my druid or helpers (summons, wolf companion) healed the NPCs, if Spring's resurgence triggered directly on the NPCs themselves, or if neither of those events occurred.

All the NPCs lived, which is good, but it would be nice to know if Spring's Resurgence affects NPCs you're trying to protect, either by directly triggering as their hit points fall, or because it gets trigged on a PC party member and/or hireling summons.

I think it's safe to assume that if they are affected by positive healing energy then they will get affected by resurgence if it was cast on them or from another source

It works on NPCs the same way it works on you. If their hit points fall below, the healing kicks in.

You can just look at NPCs to see whether the "leaf explosion" occurs around them when their red bars hit 50%. It does, and when that happens, they gain hit points.

In short, yes, spring resurgence works normally on NPCs (except those who can't be targeted, but they aren't relevant for your question anyway).

I watched for signs, but I never did see the green leaf explosion or the more subtle graphic indicating that Spring's Resurgence was activated on an NPC.

But, it's still very good news to hear that Spring's Resurgence can be helpful for keeping NPCs alive. Thanks for the responses.
