    Default Lost in the Swamp

I just ran Lost in the Swamp again after a long break and couldn't seem to get past the "vine wall" that occurs just after the dryads....

I freed the three wraiths...got both treasures (the waterfall and the one from the underwater key) but can't seem to get past that vine wall (can't select it), and can't seem to kill the Corrupted Dryads.

This was never a problem for me in the past, what changed, or what am I doing wrong now?

Yah you have to kill everything before it will break keep looking for the dryad....at least that is what happened to me before.

Oh I've found the dryad, keep getting her down to oh 20%, then she stops taking damage and soon disappears - and I can't find any "healing tree" or anything, so she keeps popping back in..forever.. I really must be missing something.

(This was on Epic Hard, maybe I only did it on Epic Normal in the past? What would be the difference?)

If you can't find her tree the only way would be to kill her outright in one shot before she runs or dot her so she dies before she reaches the tree...i know not the greatest plan but i think that is how we made it through.

She doesn't "run" anywhere, just seems to disappear, so I cant follow her to her tree. My main is not a caster, so is there any specific damage type corrupted dryads are most easily damaged by?

Yeah, I was wondering how this worked for melee's...

On a caster, I have to pop a dot on them to make sure they die, or they phantom and just keep reappearing with full health. It's pretty annoying. I'm guessing as a melee you just have to burst damage the snot out of them before they phantom on you.

I wasn't able to find trees either, nor could I stop them from going phantom unless they were dotted. If they had a dot on them, they would phantom, but then the last proc would kill them.

Best of luck to you, I'll be keeping my eyes on this thread.
When I first encountered them, I wondered if they were bugged, because I kept "killing" the same one over and over.

I'm only slightly familiar with casters. Is there a good DOT spell I can scroll via UMD? Or failing that, I suppose, is there a good DOT spell sitting on a hireling?

Of course I'd prefer to form a group if I can....

I tried scroll UMD'ing some DOT spells, couldn't make em work. I tried dual weapons couldn't do enough damage to go from 1/3 to 0 on the corrupted dryad to avoid that "zone" they become unhittable.

Couldn't find any trees, they seem to go "underground".

Couldn't figure out what the "use" icon is that shows up in their last stages before they disappear, didn't seem to do anything for my melee.

About to give up. No idea if its working as intended.

The trees are difficult to target and even more difficult to melee - your best bet is either to get something like Nightmare (which may PK the dryad) or pull out a ranged weapon; fortunately, the trees don't have that many HP and don't seem to regen between bouts.

Same issue here. The first time I ran the quest, I had no problem, but lately I was stuck like you at the 1st wall. I think Turbine changed the condition to break through it to limit zerging, but forgot about these annoying dryads.
I couldn't find the tree so I kept hitting with my nightmare weapons until it failed its save (on a 1 I think). After that, a few other monsters poped, so this is probably this last wave that is slightly bugged, it should appear when all the mobs -- except the dryads -- are dead, and not including the dryads.

I've had the same issue since the quest went live. I typically have to just keep attacking the respawning dryad until I score a big crit at the end to finish it off before I can retreat. The other option is to try UMD'ing an aoe scroll like ice storm and see if it can finish the tree once the dryad retreats. Attempting to melee the tree works about 2% of the time for me. I can't imagine that's WAI.
