    Default DDO store- rediculously slow

    I have two different Windows 7 machines, and I can't believe how incredibly slow the ddo store is - I mean, it is taking 1-2 minutes (on the GOOD side) and up to 15+ minutes PER screen to load... what gives?

    I've tried uninstalling and re-installing all of DDO. I asked in game if anyone else has had this problem, only a couple replied not an issue for them.

    This has been a consistent experience for 3 weeks or so since my son and I returned to the game. I'm a patient person, but this... has tried me too far.

    Computers work fine otherwise, and DDO game works fine. I have to believe this is NOT by design for the DDO store to be so incredibly slow to respond.

    Suggestions?

    I have noticed this for a couple months...been hoping one of the updates or hot fixes would have taken care of the issue...

    Ok thanks for confirming, just didn't want to do a ton of trouble shooting on my end, sounds like there is an issue? I should add, sometimes the screens don't even paint correctly. I'll get a full white screen, or black screen, and then... nothing. I'll wait 10-15 minutes (top of my patience) and then shut down client and try again.

    Really, for a game built with a major component of buying gear/fun stuff, for a father-son trying to play as a family, this is a show stopper...

    My son already uninstalled DDO and is over on RIFT and internet games again. Its a shame, because DDO is the game I prefer.

    This solved it for me on my XP system - try the equivalent setting on your Win 7 system.

    OMFG... finally i can browse the DDO store in seconds and not hours.

    Turbine what the <*heck*> messed up programing have you done with the DDO store that removing the "auto detect" on lan settings. makes any difference in the world.

    to who ever figured out the work around. you are a GOD in my book thanks

    btw i run win7 home (Control Panel - Internet options - Connections - LAN settings) you will have to restart your DDO client for the seting to take effect.
