    Default ing drops from Shroud

Do ings drop at a higher rate on higher difficulties in the Shroud?

If I run it on Hard or Elite should i expect a better chance at getting that valuable LSS or LDS than if running on Normal??

Likewise, if i am farming for my Royal Guard Mask, should i be running it on elite always? Will this give a higher % chance of the item turning up in chest?

In a PUG the other night two players suggested that on higher difficulties you would have a smaller chance of getting "nameds" drop (specifically talking about the Guard Mask) because other loot gen is being rolled at a higher level (or something)....? This seemed odd so id like to know, does anyone have any hard facts on this they can enlighten me with pleeeeease.

Higher difficulties in the Shroud grant extra chests after part five, so yes
a better chance for Large scales.

Yes, i that's a great point of course.

What about named items in chests? Do they have more probability of dropping on higher difficulty settings?

I don't know of any named items in the shroud.

If you run shroud on Hard you get 3 chests, and Elite you get 4 chests at the end.

But don't believe that there is a higher percentage drop rate in each chest.

    • Normal; 2 chests: 1 random loot only, 1 with 100% ingredient droprate
    • Hard; 3 chests: 1 random loot only, 1 with 100% ingredient droprate, 1 with 50% ingredient droprate (like in part 4)
    • Elite; 4 chests: 1 random loot only, 2 with 100% ingredient droprate, 1 with 50% ingredient droprate (like in part 4)

Random loot is directly affected by quest level (therefore difficulty) but named loot is a bit more complicated. At least boost gems don't affect named loot, but for sure at last some quests are confirmed to give named loot at higher percentages on highet difficulties.

Raid loot drops at slightly higher rates on higher difficulties, although it is raid and item specific. Logic dictates it would be the same for normal quests.

Higher difficulty does not mean you will get more scales than bones. The extra chests in part 5 will mean you get more ingredients total.

The only named item in the Shroud is the Yellow Dopant, and that was confirmed by Devs to drop more often on higher difficulty.
