In other words no matter what turbine or its devs say or do, nothing will change WBs mind when it comes to having two products under their umbrella that are likely to rival each other directly they are going to pull the plug on the older obsolete model.

Its not doom that makes me say or see this, just simple logic and a gut feeling. DDO is coming to its end what Turbine does after who knows.
I think your wrong NWO isnt going to kill ddo NWO is a terrible game that most wont hold interest in long. SWTOR republic didnt kill SWG SONY and Lucas did Sony with nge which killed most of the player base and Lucas by not renewing the licence it really had little to do with SWTOR

Even simple capes and cloaks would be better than some of the **** they seem to be working on, so I say go for it.

And I think you already have too much utterly unfounded faith in even the initial success of NWO.

Have to say I would love capes - I played Guild Wars for about 4 years before fully comitting to DDO, and I did love that each guild was able to wear a customizeable cape (that the leader could customize) for their guild. But as much as I would love that option - at the same time I understand it will never happen. The reason being the cosmetic armor's have become (it seems) quite a money maker for Turbine, people don't like staring at the backs of their toons in ugly armor. If you could just cover up armor with cloaks there goes most people who buy those kits....

I would also completely /sign a way to re-distribute skill points without a full LR - I always did find it strange you could not

As for the overall if it didn't sell it wouldn't be in the store. I think a lot of items are just **** or pay to win or actually hinders player development (for example I dont believe anyone new to the game should start at lvl 4 or 7 - you learn alot about how the game works on your first toon while playing lvls 1-7) - that being said it sells and keeps the game alive. A lot of people here are worried about the game closing - but as long as they have **** that sells and it turns a profit it'll stay open. So in light of that - cheers to the people who buy that **** (seriously who buys cure pots from the store?) and keep the game going for the rest of us for hopefully a very long time

The ONLY thing I see wrong with the store, is the long load times.

    Anything other than that... meh.

A long time ago, people drove for 12 hours to order stuff from a Wells-Fargo book. Just sayin
