Default Rewards for Mastering Past Lives

It's been suggested in a few places that past lives should be examined further. Considering that Epic Destinies do diminish the value of reincarnation to some extent, it seems fair to add more reincarnation-related rewards.

For those of us that choose to master a specific class, by taking all three past lives, there should be some incentive to make reincarnating a more interesting feature.
I propose two different suggestions that either enhance the epic level experience, or reward us for mastering a class' passive past life feats.

    1) (a) Mastery of a class should reduce the cost of changing a destinty sphere by 1 Fate Point, or (b) connecting to another destiny by 1 Fate Point.
Something like this is intuitive and would be a welcome addition to any build. It also provides more balance than simply increasing the amount of Fate Points.

    2) Master of a class will grant additional passive benefits.
This would also be welcome, but probably is far more complicated than the first suggestion.
Examples: 3x "Past Life: Wizard" would passively increase all spell DC by an additional +1. 3x "Past Life: Barbarian" would passively increase HP by X amount.

1 sounds fine. 2 sounds terrible as presented.

"hey guys, let's take the hands-down absolute best without any doubt past life for casters in the game and make it even better than everything else!".

seriously, the 3rd past life wizard feat should have next to nothing added. there's already a very powerful incentive to farm 3 wizard past life feats.

I could agree, but only if the mastery bonuses were very minor so that the impact isn't such that it becomes "required" like 3 wizard past lives already are for serious power gamers. Make it a bonus that doesn't specifically make a toon more powerful directly.

3 druid past lives = all summons/hirelings move and attack 15% faster
3 rogue past lives = you can search and disable 15% faster
3 fighter past lives = your shields and armor have 15% chance of negating damage done to them

Bonuses like these that aren't combat bonuses, but little perks for putting in all the effort. Things like this I could agree with.

I don't support this at all. I think 9 spell penetration from past lives (and 15% heal amp, and +3 damage, etc) is enough and doesn't need any more.
I can be found on Orien as Cilon
HC7: Typhoon, Dreaded Knight, and Wish. HC6: Naivety. HC5: Who Is Here. HC4: Cylon Centurian. HC3: Soulstone in Your Pack. HC2: Carnage

While I think some of the past life feats could use an overhaul, as some of them are rather lackluster, I disagree that anything special needs to be added on a 3x basis.

3 x wizard past life is already 'required' for people wanting to play in a given manner (CC/instakill) in epic elites.

Conversely, other past lifes are so week no one bothers to aquire them unless they are going for completionist.

A thorough reveiw of passive past life feats would be a good idea, brigning the others up to spec with past lives that grant:

+1 dc, or +1 or 2 spell pen.
