    Default Legend Clonk considerations

I recently got my cleric to level 20 on her second life as a THF, 18Cleric/2 Fighter Human Warpriest. I love it. My absolute favourite character I've ever played. Being able to have melee capabilities while still being an efficient healer totally suits my playstyle to a T.

However over these two lives I've run into a couple issues with the build that I'm hoping to improve when I renew VIP and bring her into her third life.
The first being low dexterity and low saves, so she's floored by cometfalls constantly. The second being lack of evasion, because evasion is oh so fun.

She currently does well soloing; but I know that as a third life character the XP grind is going to be large and easily remedied by soloing, which is what I hope to accomplish with a new and improved build working off her 36 point build and two cleric past lives.

So that brings me to the idea of a Clonk. Having evasion with the backing of monk stances and monk healing amp I feel would really benefit me. However I'm not totally familiar with the idea of Clonk-ing, or monk-ing, really- the highest level monk I've played was 10 almost 2 years ago.
So I come here in hopes of gaining some wisdom and advice from experienced clonks, on how to go about a feat list or stats, or just general build.

What I'm hoping for is something that resembles my current playstyle, which is essentially a melee based character backed by large radiant bursts using empower, empower heal, and maximize. I love this when levelling and it allows me to be an efficient melee fighter while still being a top notch healer.

In essence what I'm searching for are ideas for clonk builds that can sort of emulate a THF build, bringing big melee pain with the full backing of a dedicated healer. Thank you to anyone who's taken the time to read this

If you are str based you might want to add a Wiz lvl for another feat. I don't know what your build is, but if lvl ups in STR and a max str build you can take Overwhelming critical and keep going. Cleaves are great with paralyzers or cursespewing.

As for reflex saves what gear do you have to up your saves? I like heroism +2 to saves click items (last five minutes), and a Charisma +6 cloak of Resistance +_ (to saves) seems to help my reflex saves. Lvl 17 is CHR+6 and RES+3. lvl19 I got a Racial UMD Cloak with Charisma +6 and Resistance +5 to all saves.

I truly enjoy the same type of builds and have some links to my name on the forums.
Your lack of healing amp not my problem. Please buy and use your own remove curse pots in combat, so I don't waste mana. Not my job.

Well since posting this I've gotten more of an idea of the build I'm looking at after getting some advice elsewhere for people experienced with clonks.

Since my first two lives were a pretty even balance of melee DPS and Healing that's largely what I'm looking it; I make no claims that I'm a spellcaster.

Like previous posts of mine I've forgotten to mention that I do not have anything planned for post level 20. I don't have the epic destinies and I'm focused mainly on just levelling and TRing

Right now this is what I've figured out working with a character planner... the only thing that I'm concerned about is whether to go for Greater Two-Weapon Fighting or Improved critical. I've heard that handwraps have such a low crit chance and multiplier that GTWF is likely better.

When it comes to gear I believe I'm mainly going to keep what I'm using now, except swapping out full plate for cloth.
So at 18 that boils down to...
    Helm: Alchemist's Crown (+6 Wisdom, +72 Devotion/Radiance)
    Necklace: Alchemist's Pendant (+6 Constitution, +20 HP, +1 Turns/Action Boosts)
Set bonus: Alchemist's Preservation, -2 SP cost of Empower/Empower heal/Maximize
Trinket: Sustaining Symbiont (+1 Exceptional Con, Greater False Life)
Cloak: Cloak of Night(16), (Deathblock, Ghostly, Nightmare Guard, +1% Dodge)
Belt: Morgana's Belt (+6 Constitution, +2 Attack bonus)
Ring #1: Ring of Thelis (+175 SP, Spell Resistance 22)
    Ring #2: Charisma +6 Ring(or upgraded Katra's Wit)
Gloves: Fabricator's Gauntlets (+6 Strength, +5 Resistance, Melee alacrity 10%)
Bracers: Fabricator's Bracers (+15 Balance, Combat Infusion)
Set Bonus: +2 to hit and damage, 25% Fort
Armour: Dragontouched Robe (Heavy Fortification, 20% Healing Amp, Devotion 84)
Goggles: Triple Air Greensteel Goggles (+10 HP, +150 SP, +5 Charisma Skills)

It's funny how I only now realized that Morgana's Belt doesn't really offer much... And I would need a + Dexterity item.

    I have both a 18 FvS/2 Fighter THF and 18 FvS/2 Monk Unarmed.

The 18/2 Fighter is amazing: 936 HP buffed, Heavy Cormyrian Red Dragonplate (solid PRR with Divine Power). Doubt I'll ever go back to a non-healing melee again. For dealing with Cometfall I use the Legendary Dreadnought granting +20 Balance for 60 seconds. I also have 11+5 ranks in Balance, plus a Green Steel Smoke/+6 DEX skills item. It's very similar to the 18 Cleric version. I just prefer the Favored Soul damage boosts, extra action boosts and Toughness enhancements over Radiant Servant.

The 18/2 Monk is WIS focused for awesome Stunning Fist, Blade Barrier and Implosion. However, the character is just too squishy. Even with an AC in the 50s with Blur and 5% Dodge, 680 HP just isn't enough for any EEs and some EH content can get a bit hairy. Waiting on the enhancement revamp before rethinking this build.

I've actually worked out what is in the final draft of the build I have planned, and posted it here:
    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=401978

I don't have epic destinies so that's all foreign to me I'm mostly a TR, grind XP, Run some epics at 20, TR again kind of player.

The biggest concern right now lies in the fact that I haven't played the monk class in a LONG time; so I'm curious how the fist damage will work out because from what I've read, monk fist damage increases with monk levels.

I have a similar build, only I went Helf for the Pally Dilly, Dumped Wis and put the points into 15 Cha for

    1. Saves (20 naked Cha with tome + 3 and Cleric Cha2 for Rad Serv)
    2. DM3 - +6 dmg/hit
    3. UMD

I also started at 15 Dex for the Reflex and TWF feats... I find punchy-punchy fun

    Currently, he's at 15 Cleric/2 Monk/1 Fighter - haven't decided if I want 17/2/1 or 15/3/2.

That's similar to what I wound up doing, if you saw the link I just posted. I went instead for 14 Wisdom and 14 Charisma, paladin dilletante. I don't really like fully dumping wisdom, especially since I know this life will allow me even higher DCs on my spells than I've had for my past two; and while levelling my maximized blade barriers had high enough DC to be useful(as a 14 base wisdom 18 Cleric/2 Fighter)
