Cleric Help

I have been out of game a long time,, I want to roll up a new healbot and would like some suggestions. What is the best healer out there right now, I appreciate any guidance. I have a FVS that is almost finsihed with his 2nd TR, but I have like playing a Cleric more that anything..

If you're interested in being a healbot then chances are to make a good one you're going to have to be willing to sacrifice melee/spellcasting abilities. Secondly you will want to be extremely concerned with survivability, because a dead healbot isn't a good healbot, expecially with new changes to Resurrection in many quests now with death timers.

My healbot, which happens to be the only character that I play on a regular basis, is often considered an eccentric build putting only a few build points towards wisdom, (no more than 16 base), and more towards dexterity and constitution. By balancing out Dexterity and Constitution you will have less spell points than most other wisdom builds, (I have just under 3k manna), but can also make reflex saves and have enough hit points to take hard hits.

With the right gear a healbot that is extremely tough will be that much better. Because I originally designed my cleric before MOTU (several years before) most of his gear is based off of old epic items, along with some green steel items. Both SP/HP green steel item are almost absolutely required for any healer, personally I chose to put them in goggles and necklace slots and make the Tier 3 bonus existential stalemate. In terms of armor I have an older Epic Cavalry event item, I also recommend Epic Belt of the Moronon (for the heavy fort and 20 HP) and Epic Helm of the Moronon (for the +7 wisdom), Epic envenomed cloak (for the +7 Constitution, along with the resistance bonus). Most of the other slots can either be filled out by old epic gear or newer Eveningstar gear (which is easier to get) Bracers of the sun soul/Bracers of the claw, both give Exceptional Constitution but the sun soul bracers give a reflex save bonus. Boots of the mire/treads of shadow/cannith propulsion boots, Light and darkness also provides a useful shield with a bonus to saves. Finally for devotion it's easy and better to buy a devotion weapon off the auction house because there is really no other item that gives a higher devotion bonus, and if you're lucky it can also have superior healing lore.
