Keen weapons and burst for spellcaster

I got this thread idea from another post on great axes at low lvl. This probably belongs on the melee forum, but they are more likely to get Improved Critical at lvl8. Casters would probably carry Keen weapons to high lvls and Divines till mid lvls till Improved Critical feat.

The best weapons with burst or Icy burst at low levels seem to be keen weapons. I love my +1 Festival Icy burst Keen Falchions of Pure Good. Got a few. Perfect for the lvl4 vet and low lvl toons.

For Burst weapons critical range of Falchion 15-20 with 2x burst seem better than Great Ax 19-20 3x burst. More criticals. Add in a seeker item and it is really nice. Don't forget to use the Divine Power click item.

If you think that is good try a keen Falchion of laceration. The reason most casters do not carry weapons at mid levels is because they don't need to, dfb or nuke of choice > low str caster with no melee feats. My PM has enough gear this life that he can still carry weapons without giving up any spell power. I rarely swing my litII scim as the PM SLAs do better damage and if it can not kill the mob I would have cast another aoe instead. For those that are not geared they are probably going to carry a buff stick.

For divines, it depends on the build but many don't have room for melee feats. If you have room for melee feats they question is what did you give up? Maximize? heighten? toughness? empower healing? Empower spell? At level 12 I would much rather have Empower and maximize for my BB. Builds like LOB fvs build, some dump wis and then just become healers with buffs or cast aoe even though many mobs will save against it.

Green steel minII has keen in it and is a very good weapon, also at lv 10 you could use an SOS if your going to go that route. Though I would rather have a fanion in my hand with what ever weapon/buff stick I need.
