Epic Alter Bug

I just tried to add Greater False Life to my Epic Ring of the Stalker into the yellow slot, as the screen shot shows. I had WIS +6 in the colorless slot. however when I hit, the Forge Button, I get the following message.

(Standard): Altar of Epic Rituals success with Item Restoration! Created: Epic Ring of the Stalker. Epic Ring of the Stalker becomes Epic Ring of the Stalker.

Before Pic--As the screen shot shows all 3 items are in the alter. I want my 20 tokens back for the WIS +6 that was cleared.

Trying to add the GFL a second time results in the same message. Bug Reported also..

A bug has been corrected which caused epic items from the Spinner of Shadows, Cannith Challenges, and Crystal Cove to not regain their +6 Enhancement Bonus when the Cleansing Ritual (3 Epic Dungeon Tokens) is used on an epic item that has a +7 Enhancement Bonus augment slotted. This has been fixed. To regain the missing +6 Enhancement Bonus, perform the Cleansing Ritual again. The 3 Epic Dungeon Token cost to do this has been removed for affected items. Please note that this will also remove any currently slotted augments.

Ya, I knew that.. Im not sure if its specific to the ring of the stalker.. but adding the catlist/crystal and item still acts as the restoration recipe..

I believe that the devs said they were turning off augment slots as they plan on changing how they work. Apparently they think the current way is too borked and are working on a new one. Plus there will supposedly be other lower level items that can have augment slots too.

****. I wish I'da known sooner. Just tried to add heavy fort to my Bucc's ring. Same result. Not pleased.

If they intended to turn augmentation off in this patch, I'da wished there was a launcher message, or turn Lahar off, or turn the altar off, or something to keep us from flailing around in the dark...

^This is just rude and insulting to any paying customer.. which would be us as players of this game.

Why any GM is permitted to auto-close a ticket without ever actually communicating to the person submitting the ticket is wrong.

I hope someday a real Customer Service Management person from Turbine would read these Forums and realize how wrong this is.

Please refrain from placing them in the Altar of Epic Rituals at this time, as any attempt to use it will result in it performing the "Cleansing Ritual".

Please refrain from slotting any epic items at all? Will you make an in-game announcement about this, since MajMal says forum folks are only 5% of the game population?

Well, FoS, how 'bout a hotfix? I know it's not SOP to do these for such 'minor' inconveniences, but geez, I found out about this the hard way on the day I got enough tokens to make my heavy fort xtal for my Bucc's ring, and happened to get a fresh devil's ruin for my epic elemental khop. Now both of those augments are on hold indefinitely, can't swap my Minos for my 3xpos GS hat I made, so can't give up my older gs goggs, so can't wear drow smoke, etc etc etc. This was part of a larger gearout change and that blue augment was sorta the keystone step.

Well, FoS, how 'bout a hotfix?

Unfortunately, a fix for this has not made the cut for an upcoming hotfix. We weren't aware of this issue in time. (It would have needed to be last night to make it in.)

Unless enough other additional issues crop up to warrant a hotfix, this won't be resolved until Update 17.

Bummer. Any chance at a way to swap my useless blue xtal for the wasted 30 tokens? They could go to better use elsewhere now...
