Pugging on Khyber.

It seems that we've overcome the learning curve on Khyber. I've been pugging a lot on Disavowed's third life and I have to say I've yet to be in a pug that I've joined or led that has sucked. Some newbies here and there but they weren't noobs. They asked good questions and wanted to learn. One knew his toon sucked when it came to HP and asked for some help on how to fix it. I gave him some gear and 20 tapestries for a minos helm and heavy fort and it was like a whole new toon. Dude listened well and took my advice about coming to the forms. It's kind of like the old Reidra/Khyber days before FTP fun, pleasnt, pugging where quests get done fast and efficient and the newbies want and try to learn.

Maybe the Mayans are right the world is coming to an end.

I hate to break it to you, but the Mayans predicted nothing but a flip of their calendar. We do it every year and only occasionally does a doomsday cult form around the event.


Anyway, I haven't really pugged my heroic-level toons in a while, but epics seem OK for the most part. Raids are getting dull though.

For the record. Yes I know this, and I think most others do too. It was an attempt at humor, but I guess a poor one. Or some folks just take things too serious and can't see humor when reading text.

But back then joining a PUG was pretty much the same as joing a run with your guildies. In a way the server was like one giant guild. Everyone pretty much knew each other and everyone's alts too. I don't know what to make of it but I will say the quality of PUGS is far batter now than say 18 months ago. Now it's more like it was 5+ years ago.

Nor do I Meat but I have to say it's nice regardless of the cause because I really do hate soling stuff. I can do it no problem but I play for the social aspect of the game.

What levels. Dis is 14 heading to GH soon. I can't speed TR like Gunga does. Dude is the man when it comes to TRing.

I personally would pitch that there aren't nearly as many top tier players as there used to be either so relative to that the pugs may seem better because there is less of a divide or less of a gap between the top and bottom (generally speaking)

obviously going to be a big gap between the very best and very worst.

Noble attempt. But you can't mask stupid with a bell curve. Bad pugs are bad because they are noobs, not because the top quality of the server is high.

For my own 2 cents, I've seen a mix of good and bad. Might be a time of day issue.

Yes pugging is a lot better on Khyber now.

My opinion on this however isn't because there are fewer bad players, but rather because there now seems to be far fewer elitist 'top tier' ***** playing the game. I have been able to put up any LFM or join any group recently and everyone now seems to be capable of having fun, rather than getting angry and abusive over anyone that dies or isn't familiar with the quest.

I like this new change on Khyber, I hope the elitists stay away and don't come back, we don't need you.

My point was the "top quality" players of the server is nowhere near the standard they used to be, nor is the amount of them.

Plus game changes have made playing easier to be honest.....I'd be hesitant to think that its beginners getting better.

I find that things are usually good.

Had a shocking shroud the other day though, I'll admit I was lazy in throwing it together and basically just accepted the first 11 applicants, but we ended up doing normal because we only had one main healer and even then it was a fustercluck, the crowning glory of it being that someone hit the end altar before people could recall. I was not amused.
