Default Best Dwarf Axe in the game?

For those who use dwarf axes, what is the highest DPS dwarf axe in the game, assuming no monster DR or fortification?

    Epic Templar Justice?
    Lit II?
    Dwarf Axe with random mods?

    Talking templar justice

This is what i use, still trying to make it epic, added the force ritual to it and i cast elemental weapon scrolls on it when there is no arti for deadly weapons. Pair it up with my epic charged guantlets, improve crit feat my special attacks (S&B pally/rogue), it does quite a bit of damage, then cast zeal and divine favor, finish with a haste pot. I AM LOVING IT! but this is just my opinion.

Probably would have to agree with this, especially in LD.

Aside from the ones named above, I reckon some kind of epic elite plus loot boosts combo of special effects.. tempestuous of a thousand suns maybe?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I'd say an ML 20 Vorpal Greataxe of greater Dwarf Bane would be a quite effective axe on a Dwarf

But you'd have to aim low to get the neck.

My faves are still my LitII DA's but i'm sure theirs better number wise

Also dont forget the axe of famine for high lvls yes its like a min lvl 16 item but the full restoration on vorps is awesome for soloing, also it is a base 2d8 damage rather than 1d12 so it scales much better with +[w] effects but the highest dps would probably be a dueregar axe due to its higher crit range, other dps choices would be a ... d axe of mauling or 1000 suns

If you are on a sword-and-board setup, the alchemical D-Axe has enough stuff on it that it beats the extra crit range from the duergar one.

TWF I didn't calculate, but chances are you would be better off with a pair of warhammers.

All things being equal, a basic calculation using PA and IC, and a STR of 40, the Duergar axe is slightly ahead of Epic Templar's Justice. Slotting +7 evens them out. The higher the strength, the more the Duergar axe pulls ahead but it is a slight pull.
Of course, Maiming is untyped damage and will affect everything while the Templar axe's Holy and Good will see immune mobs.

    Source data

This graph is only to show the DPS difference between the two at a steady-state all things being equal, not vs. AC; for that you can tweak the BAB and other settings such as Kensai enhancements.

I assume you're talking about using a pair of Mornhs with the extra blunt crit range thingy from dreadnaught? otherwise, also from dreadnaught that extra +1 multiplier from headmans chop combined with the higher base damage & racial bonuses probably brings dwarven axes still out on top.

Yeah I was thinking the same with S&B lightstrike with 6% double and fire on the other tiers plus extra base damage is pretty strong.

    It depends on your build.
If you got high strenght and high seeker value, duregar war axe will be better against no DR monsters, if no, for evil mobs (everything except animals, elementals, oozes, plants, few abberations and humanoids) epic templar justice is better.
But I know nothing about alchemical, so they can be even better...
