Default Petition to Make ATDQ1 a Raid Instance

Please make the DQ pre-raid a true raid instance (like VON5) so we do not have to split up our groups. I realize that this raid can be done with 6 or fewer players, but we sometimes like to do guild runs with everyone included. I am sure this would be easier for PUGS as well, and would result in more LFM's for this raid.

Instead, let's just remove the need to run it every single time you want to run Zawabi's Revenge.

One and done for flagging would be fine by me. I'd still farm it for epic drops and xp, but that would allow me to do it while the raid was on cool-down as well if it was de-coupled.

AMEN SIGNED.. I know that they did away with having to run all the quests just to reflag for dq1 years ago and that was awesome. But now with all the new content and a shift towards forgotten realms..it really is a pain to run that when helping others or just getting something for yourself. I am so tired of running dq1 i could scream. I still need demon bracer's after..well i lost count on reins and such it never seems to land in end rewards..much like torc for others..which i had to stop taking other stuff to not clutter my bank with torcs. Please do away with dq1 as a necessity for dq 2 for the love of all that's good lol

They would have to change the wilderness to raid-friendly too. Otherwise you'd still be splitting party just to get to ADQ1.

I think there's 3 good ways to solve this:

    1) Make DQ1 a raid instead of a quest. Enable Epic and Raid settings on the Desert explorer (finally, all those stupid explorer epic parts can drop somewhere else and quit clogging up loot tables).

    2) Make DQ1 a raid instead of a quest. Instead of/in addition to #1, create a public area right next to the entrance to DQ1.

    3) Remove the need to run DQ1 every time. Even if they did this, they should still make it a little easier to get to DQ1 and Chains of Flame (see below).

South of Maraud the Mines and Offering of Blood, the desert could really stand being split into Sands North and Sands South. There would have to be a loading screen going from one to the other, but it would make loading into the desert go faster, and a south refuge/resort could be added for quick access.

Or just combine both this quest and the raid, into one raid. I've never seen the need to defeat the boss twice. Actually three times as I recall. There's little point to this setup.

'Against the Demon Queen' should be the one and only raid. Get to the end, defat the Demon Queen. Simple.

The quest lore makes it explicit why you must keep defeating her. She keeps retreating into realms where she is stronger when cornered, until she retreats into the Circle.

I agree with removing the flagging requirement. It's not like people would stop running it, seeing as it's the one place where explorer seals drop more often, AND it gives nice xp, AND it's a fun quest when you don't have to zerg it every time you want to do DQ to try and get your gosh-darned torc.

Make ADQ1 a raid, make it leading straight to DQ ( a la Titan or VON ).

Put a teleporter to ADQ1 entrance in Zawabi and allow Raid parties to reach said entrance.

Then the answer is to, ahem.. change the quest lore. Does anyone actually bother to read this anyway. Lol.

Get to the end, she does some song and dance about how you've caught up with her. A portal appears. She retreats into it. You follow her into the portal. Its the Circle.

Instead remove all flagging requirements from all raids and let players play them whenever they want. Erm yea, and no more timers either would be nice, but that won't ever happen because turbine want to charge you for that.

    Remove the flagging requirement...

Please don't make any more raids until hirelings are allowed in raids (so some of us can solo them with hirelings when necessary.)

Would be nice, but I think for implementing it they would break "x" and there is so much to fix..

um dude. raids are supposed to be hard. you are not supposed to be able to solo them. soloing a raid should feel like an achievment.

It is a little bothersome to split up and flag for the raid each time, but removing the requirement for DQ1 will make DQ2 a little too short of an experience.

Instead, I like the idea of making DQ1 a full on raid, however, not as it is.

Perhaps DQ1 can be changed in a way to split up the group, so that you still only have 6 people doing the puzzle section, and the other 6 can be doing something else (as in holding off the DQ's army or something a little more creative.)

This will not make the pre-raid easier, it will not change it too much, and it will provide a reason why you need 12 people to fight a weaker version of the DQ.

    ------------------------
Actually, a great idea could be that each gate can be opened only briefly in order to enter the tower of the DQ. So the team that goes up to fight her must be ready to enter each gate as the puzzle is being solved. That way you can get through 6 gates, and only the group that made it up can fight her at the end.

This way you can get rid of the shrine at the top.

And when the group that makes it up successfully drivers her back, they can open a portal for the others to come and gather for the final fight (and grab their loot).

I agree.. essentially make it like the Tower of Despair raid, you have to find the place in the explorer area but then get to a public instance for the actual quest entry & are able to teleport there, would make for a lot less hassle.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.
