    Default Fun Build Ideas

I'm looking to TR my arcane archer but I'm not sure what. I like flavor builds but I'm not just ONE of those players. I want to have a build that's fun to play but also strange in its own way.

With Past Life(Ranger) I'm hoping to find a support build that will be fun in to level and raid with at lvl 20+
I have no really important gear so you may include a gear list as well

    Rules:
2 or 3 class split *Pures are no fun*
    ...
    That's it, only one rule.

    Thanks ahead of time

    Let the Flavor Games...Begin

    Default Some fun builds

these are builds that I have enjoyed playing and that could have viability at cap:

Bardcher, 16 bard 2 fighter 2 ranger AA elf. I went with spellsinger prestiege and a paralyzing bow for leveling, shirady champion for CC at cap. made for a great pure support toon, interesting to play, very weak for soloing though.

    12 fighter / 6 ranger / 2 rogue, halfling trapper.
picked up halfling dragonmarks for self healing, ranged with manyshot when needed or when wanted the aggro, straight up melee otherwise. very durable, self sufficient, and being a halfling made for very high reflex saves. fun to play. could go either tank or kensai, I went tank.

a somewhat similar build is a 7 pally / 7 rogue / 6 ranger, twf. the build plays a little like the former one, only more roguish and less tankish. healing through LoHs, which makes race a matter of personal preference.

two more builds that won't make much use of your past life, but were unusual, effective and fun to play:

a 12 Cleric / 6 fighter / 2 monk - think of it as a paladin, only with evasion, divine punishment, healing aura/bursts, and the ability to cast quickened heals. oh and mini blade barriers where needed.
in capable hands it's very effective, don't expect much understanding from others though, as most people will be quick to yell GIMP!

last one is the one I'm currently leveling ,a wf archmage built to be able to handle melee as well as regular casting duties, 16 wiz / 2 fighter / 2 rogue. good fun so far, mixes up spell dps with melee dps, CC with SLA webs.

hope these gave you some ideas to play with, and if any of those sparked your interest, I would gladly send you the detailed build.

Good luck on your next life

    --- Edit

    forgot to mention, 7 rogue / 7 ranger / 6 arti. mechanic/deepwood sniper/battle engineer.
int mod bonus to attack (arti) and damage (mechanic), deepwood sniper increases the range at which sneak attack damage applies to ranged attacks.

You can step it up a notch with Khopeshes towards end-game after tripping your opponents. No tomes required. You'll never find a more wrenched hive of scum and throwability!

What about a divine monkcher cleric radiant servant II, Arcane Archer, 10k stars cleric 12/monk 6/ ranger 2 with high wis, twf handwraps with stunning fist, some situational blade barrier, divine punishment and cometfall, havent done the planner yet but think can fit the features (maybe later i try to post the planner).

I'm going to suggest two builds to you.

First, rogue mechanic 6/artificer battle engineer 12/fighter 2. All stat points are in INT and CON on a warforged. All stat increases go to INT. Mechanic gives you evasion but more importantly INT to damage with crossbows. Battle engineer gives you machine gun efficiency but more importantly, Insightful Strike for INT to hit. Fighter gets you 2 additional martial feats letting you load up as needed. Substitute monk for fighter if you don't mind being lawful for a different set of bonus feats.

Second, artificer battle engineer 6/monk ninja spy 6/fighter 8. Half-elf Arcane Archer with 10k stars and machine gun for when many shot and 10k are on cool down. No room for a fighter PrE but it has 3 already, sheesh! This one is micro-management intensive as the time with the crossbow makes the build uncentered and destroys Ki. Keeping track of bolts or arrows is also fun.

    Default Flavor Builds are Delicious

What kind of builds do you like to play? Do you want another ranged character? You mentioned wanting to help with support, do you mean healing/buffing, traps, and ranged support (in the form of damage)?

You said this is a TR build, would this be the second life? What tomes have you used?

    A few of my builds:
Shoelace: Warforged level 20 Cleric. Initially a melee battle cleric I later LR'd him into a pure caster/healer before TRing him last week. [Not multiclassed, but still unusual]

Horbek: Warforged 18/1/1 Ranger/Rogue/Wizard Arcane Archer. Currently only level 9, but he has trap skills, umd, access to most wands, and is fun to play. I'd consider swapping the Rogue and wizard level for Artificer and Monk for an extra feat, but your choice.

Paxis: Dwarf 16/2/2 Favored Soul/Paladin/Monk with dual axes. I based this off the Golden roach build, and call him my flavor soul. Currently level 12.

MechRuff: Warforged 17/2/1 Druid/Monk/Artificer. I had a friend plan this out for me, but the stats are 16 wis, 16 con, and 16 int with insightful reflexes. Artificer adds trap skills, UMD, and more sp than rogue would have added. 2 Monk adds evasion and 2 bonus feats (toughness and resilience). 17 druid is for casting. Currently level 11.

Rivx: Human 18/2 Cleric/Artificer. This is the holy gun build (I pieced one together from a few of the ones that were floating around) 18 cleric for healing, buffs, etc, while artificer adds trap skills, UMD, and repeating crossbows+rune arm for damage.

A few ideas I have planned are a two weapon fighting artificer with a spell sword theme, and a half orc 15/3/2 cleric/monk/paladin using quarter staves with healing enhancements, and a high charisma score for the dragonmark of finding, and more turn undead attempts for more burst heals.

let me know if any of these sound interesting,
    -PaxsMickey
