    Default Basic Sorc TR gear?

    Greetings

I am wondering which gear you would consider basic for a Sorc TR? A few come to mind but I am very much looking for more suggestions
    - Torc is always nice if lady luck smiles on you
    - Mirror Cloak for 17 SR at low level
    - Ioun Stone for the 400 SP at lvl 5 is hard to beat
    - GS
Anything else you wouldnt dream of TRing into a sorc without?

I wouldn't hold your breath on the torc. It is amazing, for sure, but I TRed multiple times before pulling this highly sought after item.

Mirror cloak is nice but only for two levels that you'll fly past very quickly. At level 5 I'd recommend the Mantle of the World Shaper. This will free your trinket so you can wear +5% XP and your ioun stone simultaneously. Several quests, like Tear, Shadow Crypt, etc. offer XP through the adventure. This means less forgetting and more wearing.

A conc op item is a no-brainer in the GS dept.

Other fun, but not essential, items:

Quiver of Alacrity. 30% striding at level 1.
Armor of Invulnerability mL 1 (add life shield at level 5)
Fanion. shield turn in from necro 4.
mL 9 Heavy Fort necklace Nightforge Gorget from Relic of a Sov. Past.
    Blue Dragonscale Armor.

I recently TRd into a sorcerer and am enjoying a five piece abishai set bonus to evocation and conjuration DCs. Not a must have but nice nonetheless

    Necklace of contemplation
No ml + 5 concentration , false life , and+1 to hit great for a couple levels

Mirror Cloak is ok but most things that cast at you you will 1 shot with a scorching ray or other nuke as you gather up the melee for a nice AoE blast.

    Unsupressed ioun stone

Carnifex and robe of invunerability for when SP run low ( less an issue with sorcs than wizzies but it still happens.)0
Move along , Nothing to see here

Default More TR goodies I shoot for on an arcane

    Consumables
*Full stacks of barkskin pots + crafted life shield large guild augment mithral chain of invulnerability (enough AC to zerg and nuke past mostly everything until lvl 10 or so)
*Full stack of pertinent yugo pots
*Full stack of invisibility, GH, shield, and fire shield scrolls (and anything else you could haggle to save sp later)
*+2-4 int tome eaten so you get max skill points possible per level

    Items
    *Carnifex (for all fleshies)
*T3 lvl 16 cove dagger for triple major ice/fire/lightning lore
*Skiver (expensive but doable with plat or farming)

    Crafted with masterful craftsmanship:
*+stat rings of every tier not covered below (I use con and swap the second ring as needed)
    *+str gloves
    *+cha cloak
    *+dex boots
*+reflex save item (currently broken to stack or so I have read. I use amulet slot)
    *+fort belts of every tier
*(greater) spell focus bracers to swap
    *Mobility trinket of Balance +__
    *deathblock armor
*improved _______ (repair, impact, combustion, freeze, inferno, spark, erosion) clicky
*spell power and lore weapons for all elements
*zero-spell-failure lifeshield shields of axeblock/spearblock/hammerblock for when you swap away from lifeshield armor
    *33% electrical/fire absorption items

    Occasional lowbie melee:
*ghost touch flametouched iron of undead bane (very useful in Delera's)
    *+4 attack bonus goggles
    *+10% melee alacrity trinket

As you can see I am a fan of crafting. If you think ahead you can also craft them on BtA items so you can reuse them on other characters and save ingredients. They are immensely helpful. Don't forget to have plenty of shard of potential shards available since using Masterful Craftsmanship (the big selling point of these items) will use up +1 potential

If you have access to ~40-50 levels of cannith crafting you could craft most of this stuff:

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=378364

For skellie bashing in Delera's (and other situationally useful places), you can craft a "good" weapon by picking up a flametouched iron blank in the Rusty Nail on a Chrono run, and putting ghost touch and undead bane on it. If you can't get flametouched iron, you can craft "righteousness" onto any blank to make it good.

If you don't want to buy a craftable trinket from the DDO store, the basic Shard of Power from shroud runs can be deconned into a craftable trinket and then it can be crafted with all sorts of useful powers as you level up.

I do love Abashai gear at 5th level. I also like the "Nicked" weapons from Shard Syndicate (I think they're all ML:2). I know everyone loves Carnifex (and it's a great weapon, my lowbie cleric is chewing things up with it right now), but I also love the no ML scimitar from the Korthos Collaborator quest, "Fintan's Bite". It gives Bodyfeeder (+15 temp hit points on a crit), and it procs fairly often being a scimitar.

I second using Mantle of the Worldshaper instead of Voice of the Master (and thus a 3 piece abashai set). It's really nice to get optional xp boosted along with the end reward, and the 5 spell absorption charges can be useful at low levels.

Kaelth's Touch is a nice little ml 9 trinket from the Necro scarab turn-ins. Gives you DR 5/evil (instead of invulnerability's 5/magic), which can be useful to extend the 5 DR goodness a few extra levels (evil weapons being more rare than magic weapons). It also gives undead guard, so it's a nice swap-in piece.

Ring of the Archbishop gives you +20 sp with no ML. I *think* this is your best sp boost option before a vibrant purple ioun stone.

Best until level 4 cunning trinket. Cunning can be used to level 20+ (until you stop caring about 50sp) because it stacks with archmagi. I usually buff and swap it.

Similarly at level 4 the bold and (especially) stalwart trinkets are great for a melee (or even caster), maybe people didn't mention them because since they are cove item and cove isn't running, you either have them or not at this point. Same goes for elemental summons from cove.

I'll add to the list with these:
Level 4 - bracers of wind (permanent blurry at level 4), + cove trinkets if available
Level 4-6 (ish) - Quivering quiver (if you aren't using quiver of alacrity and use bows at all). you'll never need to buy ammo again. Min level on arrows varies, but almost all are usable by 6th
Level 8 - frozen tunic + master craftsmanship and invulerability (for freezing ice procs, helpless state enemies)
Level 14 - Parasitic breastplate augmented with displacement or reflex (or incite if tank), and the following level 16 challenge items crafted with master craftsmanship depending on needs:
stalker ring (exc SA, manslayer, ethereal, seeker)
wind bracers (blurry, dodge, air guard for haste)
tunic (for freezing ice + fire shield)
boots (for earthgrab guard and stone prison guard, + slippery surface immunity)
    spare hand

Thanks for the correction. I missed the last Cove Event that was run, so I haven't had a chance to check out all the trinkets.

Still useful to know if they ever get around to fixing it and bringing it back.

Edit: There's also a ml 4 or 5 elemental ring from House P's Carnival chain (I think) that would be useful for a sorc.
