    Default Hireling Ideas

Make Stand Ground mean STAND GROUND. Not "go chase things and then maybe come back or die". Stand ground. In other words, do not move from that spot, or at least from a little 5-ft circle.

Make Defend You mean DEFEND YOU. Not stand there and watch you die.

Every update, the hirelings get a little more useless, and a little more bugged out. Now, this is either incompetence, or malice. If incompetence, you can fix it. If malice, in an attempt to increase grouping, then just remove the hirelings.

While I agree in theory, I've found that some hirelings behave better (or worse) than others. Your experience, and thus your post, may be based on the behavior of one or two hirelings.

I would suggest using a different class or using a hireling one level below yours before you condemn the whole lot.

I would not, however, support the wholesale removal of hirelings from the game. They serve a purpose, despite the fact that they don't act human enough for some folks.

I don't necessarily agree with you. I frequently run challenges solo with my hirelings and will put them to active and stand ground to defend the Kobold forman. If he truly stood his ground, they wouldn't keep the mobs off the forman.
