    Default Non raid gearing advice

    Hello all.

My Cleric recently hit L20 and I was wondering how I can easily gear him without raiding.

He has the usual +6 items, Wiz VII, Minos and GF. In hhis hands are a Dev and Impulse item.

He is built as a Caster RS and has taken the S Pen route (although his DCs are so poor I never even bothered running at level Leet, I just healbotted.

My Cleric isnt my main and will only be used occasionally but Id still like him to have reasonable gear.

I have a couple of Arcnes that can farm BTA items if need be.

I guess the best start is Commendations, although I wouldnt know how.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Commendations are where I would start if I were you.

Greensteel Con-Opp and HP/heavy fort items would help also. There are, fortunately, lots of PUG Shroud runs. I would avoid making GS items for the neck, ring, cloak, boots slots.

Holy Symbol of Lolth is a good thing to have.

    Cannith Boots of Propulsion

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Radiance and Radiance lore items. Radiance Lore is an easy buy on robes. So is Heavy fort unfortunately, but Heavy fort drops for rings too or Minos.

Charisma Resistance combo cloaks are nice. Got a CHR+6 Resistance +# Cloak on most of my Divines. Resistance is +4 or +5 (racial) on my lvl 20 divines.

Divine Power Bracers rock. I do not know how much you melee.

On the head I use spell power. Either Radiance or Impulse or Devotion. Depends on rings and weapons. I like to free up my hands cause all my Divines melee.

    Necklace is wisdom.

    Robe= Major Radiance Lore

    Rings= Heavy fort and dev0tion

    Head is impulse

Weapons = lots of melee falchions, but I also have a Radiance spell power Falchion for boss fights and to cast Divine Punishment. I also have scepters for full Divine mode and Raid healing and slightly better spell power combos.

Belt is CON+6 of Greater False life. Drops in TOD quests and raid. If not this then Con on neck. Wis on Ring or Head and GFL on belt.

My best combos are the Cloak and belt.

Hand is Dex+6 or Titian Glove click. I got these Tinker's Gloves - Gloves: Dexterity +6,Exceptional Seeker +2 that helps my Blood Stone for melee. I use Keen Falchions and Falchions to melee for nice criticals. Most of my Divines have Power Attack and Improved Critical Slash with a splash of FTR or WIZ early for martial prof. (IMHO ALOT more fun and gerneralized)

Trinket would be the Ioun stones also with +200 sp. Dreaming Dark is an easy grind on casual. Eardweller is an easy grind on elite for just the optional chest. Pale lavender gem and this http://ddowiki.com/page/Vibrant_Purp..._(unsuppressed). Once i use up the sp I swap to Blood Stone. It is tough to get. The grind is horrible, but has gotten cheaper at AH sometimes under 300k plat. Bought one for 200k plat on a general chat trade once.

I am all about the easy grinds and easy to get gear on all my toons. I am just a casual player.

******Now for the easiest grind item in the world for a Divine *********

That would be the DDO store bought Mana spell point pots. On sale now actually for 20% off. I would not get the ones for 700-800. Overkill. I like the ones for 500-600. They are concentrated at these ranges and only 1200 TP for 100 on sale or 12 cents each. If you have shared bank they are BTA and can be divided and moved around. I would not build for these, but as for gear it can make the difference if you gear is not up to your piers, and allow you to run content above your toon/gear level. How you use them is up to you, but I use them sparingly. It just depends on the content and if the completion and party members are worth it. Make sure you let the party wipe get to the brink of disaster before you drink it, so they appreciate it. You can even ask for in game mana pots after you drink these for other friends or your other accounts.

    Outside raids... Hmmm....

Even with that I still must advise the Shroud for at least a SP item, if not an HP item as well. SP as a swappable is useful; it can even then be made for the same slot. I personally chose to go with a perma-on item, as I did my items differently than most (currently have a Min II and a Conc-Op, and get T1 immunities, the three tiers of HP and the two tiers of stacking SP) because of gearing needs.

    VPIS/PLIS

Lootgen ML 20 Devotion/Radiance items. And every ML increasing thereafter. Ideally, the ML 25's with Major Healing Lore and Major Radiance Lore.

At this level, if you have it, Tier 3 Epic Cavarly Plate is kick-butt. If you don't have it, then there's other options.

I wish I could be more helpful, but most of the things I use now are either ML 21 or higher or from raids. I don't think I have any single item under ML 20 that isn't a clickable or a raid item on my Cleric now. Which is sad, in a way.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

There are 2 nice items in the last 2 packages.

    Wall of Wood - http://ddowiki.com/page/Wall_of_Wood

    Forgotten Light - http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Forgotten_Light_(Level_24)

They can be traded from the AH, but the epic normal mace is very easy to get. It appears in the end reward for the U16 chain. You will probably get one without farming.

The shield is a bit more difficult. It is from an optional that you need to kill 2 waves of monsters fast.

My monk without "everything is nothing" can do in normal (I was lucky and found the shield the first time I manage to do the optional... so didn't try with full power or other difficulties)

Not sure if can be done with a non-uber cleric. One wave probably can be taken care with "implosion" but the other wave must be killed before the cooldown... so blade barrier... but there are many wisps too... I don't know... someome must know how to do it.

Arcanes probably can farm it without much trouble or you may to try to find a group... but without some coordination and good players not sure if it is easier due to dungeon scaling.
