Default Folder for Scrolls & Bag for Potions (plz)

    Dear Devs,

I was just going thru inventory the other day on a few characters and it would really help inventory issues (for lots of folks I have mentioned this to...) if we had 'containers' for Potions and Scrolls. Folders or scroll cases for scrolls and cases for potions. It is great that each currently stack.... But on one of my characters.1 pack was darn near full of potions. This isn't something new...just felt like bringing it up. Be a nice gift to us for Christmas...

And besides...we have them for just about everything else ingame... even Cookies. :-D

    Just say'n....

    Thanks for looking Devs.

There is a bag for potions, it's your inventory.

Sorry, /not signed. As buggy as DDO is these days, I'd rather they work on current issues, rather than introducing new ones.

/Signed to Scroll Cases for sure.

/These should come before Potion Bags:

Bolt Cases being separated from Quivers!
    Spell Component Pouches!

Hmm, sp pot helmet? Perhaps a camelback style one for silver flame/cure serious pots. Using these items allow for reduced cooldowns on the heal type pots and increased sp gain for the helmet, uses 2 pots though on the sp one.

Heck yeah, I have one full page of scrolls and potions and one of just components on some toons.

    Yeah on Scroll container
    Yeah on Potion container
Yeah on Spell component pouch (If not mentioned then it should be)

Come on, get it together, we have a container for almost all else ingame (a soda can holder for expended mountain dew cans would also be nice).

    Thank you

And to the guy with the snarky comment about your potion bag being your inventory, if you have an ingredients bag, a collectables bag or a gem bag that is a hypocritical statement. If you do not use those at all then you are useless in every quest as you have no room for weapons, so either argument is invalid. You can thank me for my awesome logic later.

I understand your point but disagree. Potions are bottles of stuff. They already stack to (generally) 100. That single inventory space holds a lot of bottles--no matter what the size. While it is splitting hairs to say what gets a special container and what doesn't when we are already carrying magical packs that defy conventional physics.

Scrolls still stack to 100, so that's about a book each.

Why gem/collectible/ingred bags? Because they don't affect combat game play. Pots, scrolls, components all do and therefore no containers (yet). Omnidust does address components, even if it's a bitter pill to swallow.

The one item that (debatably) straddles the line and I ask be considered is wands. I want a quiver for my wands. A reasonable solution would be to let them stack, but with the varying amount of charges, that would probably be too hard to code.

I think one of the most daunting things about this, is making it so you can access the scroll/potion/etc while it is in the bag.

I'll be honest, even if I had to take the scroll out of the bag to use it, it would still be better then the scrolls filling my inventory, specifically the special issue scrolls, like Dimension Door, Teleport, Prismatic Ray, etc.

Or even a bag to just hold junk scrolls that I loot from chests till I can take them out of my bag to sell at a vendor (Like I currently do with bolts and arrows)

While I am cool with the idea that I would need to have the scroll on my hot bar and out of the bag to use it (So I keep the Heal/Raise scrolls handy at all times) It would nice to just have a bag to stow away the extra scrolls and stuff.

Same for Potions, You know, I don't need to have every potion handy all the time, some are special situation potions, which is cool. Other times, those things just fill my inventory and I would like a bag to put the junk potions in till I can sell them later.

Anyway, if a Dev is reading, you don't need to make them "access" bags for them to still help the game along a whole lot!

In addition add golf bags for weapons, suitcases for armor and clothing and jewelry boxes for goggles, rings and necklaces - or simply learn what you need to have in your inventory and what you can leave at home.

Took me some time to learn it on several of my characters, but sometimes downsizing / concentrating on essential gear is better than hoarding everything "just in case".

Your Tounge and Cheek Aside, this has been suggested before it would be a very good idea. Because, the way DDO is set up, Gear swaps are the name of the game, having two, or three full sets of gear for different situations is not uncommon, (Unless you are a caster), and on a normal EXp run, no one is going to want to wait for you to get your Undead Killing gear, because we went from Vale back to Orchard to farm taps.

I'm for scroll cases to keep items better organized. Turbine can have them available at the DDO store.

Interesting responses so far. Some expected. I am simply just pointing out some that since 2006 (2005 if I want to be a stickler...) that has been suggested.

Stacking is nice dont get me wrong...but then why have Hireling Folders? Cookie Jars...Why have Tapestry Pouches...etc etc.

Again... Just mentioning this as a suggestion.

I see what you're saying, and I agree. But you need to keep in mind that it takes about 5 seconds for a new feature to go from "whoa this is nice" to entitlement
That which does not kill you gives you experience points.
