Pet Gear at 20+

I'm looking to put some gear on my Wolf, as I noticed that he's still wearing some junk I got at like level 7.

I was thinking Black Dragonscale for his Armor -- but then I got to thinking what flavor? Light seems to make the most sense, as the Wolf gets Evasion, but then I was wondering ...does the Wolf evasion work even with Heavy armor?

Finally, Collar...no idea here, and it's impossible to change collars very quickly, so I don't bother with multiple collars. Can you make named handwraps into collars, like the Grave Wrappings?

I put whatever armor I use on my druid on my pet. Currently that is the Terrorweb Chitin Breastplate with Con +8. Str +8 might also be a good idea.

Yes, my pet wolf also wears Grave Wrappings for a collar. All named wraps can be made into collars. And they even can be made without trap parts now.

Can you confirm whether or not your pet's evasion works in this armor, since it's Medium?

My pet's evasion works fine. It slides through traps I get hit with. I always put all my wolves in the same armor I put on the druid.
